Why is fresh meat important? How is it different than meat meal?
We use fresh & raw meat in our kibble. This meat is handled just the way you'd expect – carefully kept cold until it's made into delicious food for your pup. That means it's only cooked once. So why do we use fresh meat? Because we want to offer that choice to pet parents who are looking for something different.
Do you offer chicken-free recipes?
Yes! Our salmon, lamb, and duck/venison recipes contain no chicken, and neither does our Beef/Duck Wet Food. For treats, our Apple Bars, Apple Biscuits, and Peanut Butter Biscuits are also chicken-free.
Are your products grain-free?
Our dry and wet food recipes are grain-free. Most of our treats are too, except for our 3 plant-based options (Apple Bar, Apple Biscuits, and Peanut Butter Biscuits), which use wholesome grains and no meat.
My dog is a picky eater. Will they like it?
Our food is made for fussy dogs. Our founders started Edgard & Cooper because their dogs (Edgard & Cooper) couldn't or wouldn't eat the food available to them. So, we launched a food that was nutritious and delicious, and they love it. We think your pup will, too.
Do I need to transition from my pet's current dry food?
It's always a good idea to introduce new foods slowly. Gradually increase the amount of Edgard & Cooper food over 7 days while reducing the amount of your previous food. Check out the feeding instructions on the packaging for more info.
Once wet food is open, how long are they good for?
Opened trays should be refrigerated and consumed within 2–3 days to maintain flavor and freshness. Wet food should always be stored in an airtight container.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Our dry packaging is made with a minimum of 85% paper, and we're working on moving to fully recyclable packaging beyond our launch. We'll be 100% recyclable or reusable by 2030.
Our wet food comes in recyclable metal trays. Just feed to your pup, rinse, and recycle. Check your local regulations, as accepted materials vary by community.
The recyclability of our treats varies by item.
