Zymox Otic Dog & Cat Ear Infection Treatment with Hydrocortisone, 1.25-fl oz bottle

My Plott Hound was plagued with severe ear infections. He would come to me in the middle of the night crying and shaking his ears. I tried what my vet prescribed and it made it worse. My house would smell awful from the ear infection and it kept getting worse every time I used the medication from our vet. I saw Zymox and noticed it had hydrocortisone to help with the discomfort. Enzymes were what made the product so effective. I tried it on my dog, after reading the instructions NOT to clean the ears first. I did 10 drops per ear and then massaged it and let him shake his head. It helped him feel more comfortable immediately due to the hydrocortisone. Within a couple weeks it cleared up the infection and there was never any awful smell from his ears during the use or ever again. Because he had chronic ear issues that we had fought for years without any results from other treatments, I continued to use it as a preventative treatment too. I would treat his ears with the Zymox a couple times a week, and it NEVER came back. This product saved my poor dog from so much pain, discomfort, and misery. He actually enjoyed it when I treated him with it. His breed is very susceptible to yeast & bacteria infections in the ears. Some dog breeds just are susceptible to ear issues. I recommend this product for anyone who has a dog with ear issues. It’s everything that the label says and more!! I tell everyone I know that has a dog with ear issues. Our soon-to-be four year old doberman pinscher has natural ears and goes through periods that vary from regular ear itchiness to itchiness that leads to constant round the clock scratching. We have brought him to the vet numerous times to see if there was any sign of infection, allergy or some sort of reason that caused him to be so bothered. The vet is highly skilled and respected, so I know that he's not misding an underlying cause. It appears that our boy just has sensitive ears. He doesn't like any dirt in his ears, or dryness, or anything that makes them tickle or itch. His doctor prescribed him ear washes, and ointments to make him more comfortable. He told us to wipe his ears out daily with whichever OTC wipes our boy likes best. Despite trying every brand we felt like he could still be more comfortable. Since a lot of his ear washes weren't medicated, I decided to try this one. The bottle isn't big and bulky so it's easy to maneuver. We can sneak the drops in while he's laying in our lap because he doesn't notice the bottle. With the bigger bottles he wants to sniff them before they go in, and we don't him trying to lick the bottles. These were purchased and started when his ears were bothering him a lot. After the first use we noticed that he was hardly scratching anymore. We have four days of use left before I start using the daily wipes by Zymox. I have to say that we are all very grateful that we decided to try them!
