Does this treat ear mites?

This ear solution is not formulated to treat ear mites.

Is this safe for cats to lick?

Zymox doesn’t contain toxic ingredients so is safe if licked. Some pets with sensitivity can experience nausea if a large amount is consumed (if they chew up the entire tube).

How is the product applied to the ear? Do you wipe it inside the ear itself? My cat has itching and redness in his ear. Thanks

According to the directions for use: Shake Well: Ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed. Apply Liberally: Fill the ear canal with the solution without cleaning the ear first. Massage Gently: Work the solution into the affected area by massaging the base of the ear. Allow to Shake: Let your cat shake its head to assist in removing excess fluid. Wipe Excess: Clean any residue from the outer ear with a cloth. Frequency of Use: Apply once daily for 7 days, or for 14 days in cases of chronic infection.

The Zymox Enzymatic Kitten & Cat Ear Solution with 0.5% Hydrocortisone helps to relieve itching due to minor inflammation, dermatitis and other minor skin irritations, and is effective against bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections, but is not formulated to treat mites.

Most helpful for sensitive ears

My Linus' ears are less sensitive now that I am using this. His ear polyps have improved a lot and he's not scratching his ears nearly as much.

One of my fur babies suffer with allergies and solar dermatitis. He is five years old but the problem started three years ago. Back and forth to the vet getting shots, ear drops, and trying other products but nothing helped long-term until I tried Zymox. This is a miracle product. My cat got instant relief from the first application. Now, when he shows signs of itchy ears, all I have to do is clean his ears with Zymox and he is fine. Thank you for this product!

How quickly it provided relief to my cat.

This product cured a very stubborn ear infection in my cat. Best part is the product doesn't have an odor so the cat is less annoyed.
