With only 2 calories and loads of aroma / flavor these guys are excellent for long training sessions or speed training (fast rewards). Even better, they fit in many reused containers such as coffee creamer, Tic Tac (the large ones), gum flip lid, and more. The Tic Tac and gum containers are great for on-the-go training and the coffee creamer makes a lot of noise for when a certain someone is practicing selective hearing. That's right, Gertie, I know you can hear me you little devil! This morning she was sniffing around, completely ignoring me, I stepped inside, grabbed my coffee creamer container 3/4 full of Zuke's Minis, gave it a few shakes and Zoom! She covered half an acre quite speedily. Their strong aroma is great for nose work. They can be stuck to the walls of a Kong with peanut butter, especially effective if the Kong is then frozen. I have autoship set up to alternate flavors.

If you keep them in a sealed container, they stay soft. If they are left to air out, they will get harder, but it makes absolutely no difference to my dogs. At my house, it's all Mini Zukes.

If she forgets to reward my actions, I just nudge the pouch. I think Zuke’s are like dog candy. My mom has learned to give me a few Zuke’s when she goes out and I have to stay in my crate. She has also learned to give me Zuke’s when we practice my training skills. Mom is a fast learner like me. I am one lucky dog and now I can find the Zuke’s in my new puzzles that mom got for me.

Of course as a Labrador he will eat anything, but I feel good giving these minis to him because of their nutritional content, quality ingredients, and low-calorie value. They're very easy to stuff into your pocket or treat pouch for a quick walk or training session. As others note, they do tend to dry out/harden very quickly if out of the package, so now if I have any extras left over after a walk, I put them back into the resealable bag. I should also mention that the most recent bag we ordered does seem to have much larger treats. They smell the same to me, and Ned still loves them, but not sure if something has changed with the formula. We've tried 3 flavors and he seems to love the PB + Oats the best! **Pro tip** check out the Zuke's Crunchy Naturals treats in banana...he's obsessed with them!!

I like to break them in half and they break pretty easily, however sometimes there are crumps left over but that doesn't matter much to me. Perfect for his training as he is a trick & agility dog in the making! My 10 y/o german shepherd is very very picky. We only buy the peanut butter ones because the other flavors (e.g., rabbit) are incredibly and offensively stinky. Peanut butter ones have not much of an odor. If left out of a sealed container, they get hard. The dogs still eat them (crunch!) but they are a better treat when they are soft.
