For how long do we boil it to reuse it?

To clean, remove this substrate and soak in a bucket of hot water with an added 5% solution of Zoo Med's Wipe Out 2. After 15 minutes, pour the water out and fill the bucket again with water only. Swish bark in bucket with your hand to rinse and dump the water out. Allow the bark to partially dry out (about 85% dry) leaving only a small amount of moisture and return to the terrarium.

How is it “ reusable”?

This bedding can be reused after washing it. Simply soak in hot water ever 2-3 months for fresh and clean bark

Is the quality and size of pieces suitable for use in a soil-less potting mix for houseplants?

Usage may vary depending on the plant(s). It can be used with planted enclosures but the manufacturer recommends using the Eco earth or Reptisoil under it where they are putting the plants. Please click on the attached photo for a visual reference of the bedding size.

Is repti bark treated for pesticides, bugs, and stuff of that nature?

The Repti Bark is not heat treated and it has not been treated for pests. Zoo Med does not use chemicals on any of their substrates.
