I have tried different bedding for my large tortoise pen, but now I only buy Repti Bark. It is soft enough for the comfort of the tortoise, easy to clean up, and I can spray mist it with water for humidity without a bad smell. I love this product and it is perfect for other reptiles as well.

This product is by far the best because it is reusable and it is very easy to maintain also keeps humidity and moisture very good. I use this for my ball python

I use this for my ball python and She loves it I hear most people saying be careful because your snake can swallow some pieces this can be true in some cases but when my snake is eating and swallows her food nothing goes inside her mouth. It’s always good to watch your snake eat and don’t take that long and if you are worried about your snake ingesting this just watch them eat their food So you can observe and keep an eye out other than that this is the best product out there on the market and it is very natural. I’ve been using this product for years And never had a problem.

washable and smells like a fresh forest
I love this bark. I use it in all of my reptile tanks. I used it around the water bowls in my gecko tank and ringneck snake, garter snake and ball python tanks
I love this bark. I use it in all of my reptile tanks. I used it around the water bowls in my gecko tank and ringneck snake, garter snake and ball python tanks. It holds moisture pretty well, so adds humidity to your tank. I use it in place of the moss in my pythons tank because I don't like the strong smell of moss. This bark is washable which I love because it can reused indefinitely. I toss any really soiled bits in the compost bin and reuse the rest after a good soak and rinse. And, it smells SO good. Like a fresh forest after a rain. I wasn't expecting it to smell so wonderful. I like to feed my smaller snakes on top of the bark so the coco husk doesn't stick to their wet prey as they hate dirt covered worms etc. I get the small sized bag which lasts me a long time because I reuse it.

I raise Adenium (Desert Roses) and so I mix my own soil blend. The Repti Bark mixes perfectly with my soil and coarse perlite to produce a medium that my plants

I know that this is probably an unusual review, as this is not what most people would use the bark for, but it works for me and if one looks, there are probably many uses that are not the norm. But it's a great product, whether used for reptiles or my Adenium. Thank you!

I read people's concerns about little white bugs . These are not the same bugs (mites ) reptiles have , those kind live on the reptile , wood mites are harmless to reptiles and are commonly seen when purchasing mulch Ect . If concerned you would want to get a heat treated substance or to heat treat it on the oven to kill any bugs .

I usually mix it in with other substrates (either eco earth or cypress mulch) and it provides a superb environment that looks nice and natural. It works great for odor and is easy to clean/spot clean as needed. The only thing I have ever had issues with is the amount of dust this produces.
