Approximately, how many cups are there in the 5.5 lbs bag?

There are approximately 8 cups in the 1-pound bag, 18 cups in the 2.2-pound bag, 44 cups in the 5.5-pound bag, and 70 cups in the 8.8-pound bag.

Are there any flavors that are low fat? My dog suffers from pancreatitis so fat content is a huge issue.

These formulas aren't considered low fat diets, however the Air-Dried Mackerel & Lamb recipe and the Venison Air-Dried recipe have a fat content of 25.0% compared to this recipe at 30.0%.

Hi, how many scoops per 1 lb bag, 2.2 lb bag, etc. are the plastic included scoops the same size in the 1 lb bag as they are in the 2.2. lb bag? Thanks....

The 16 ounce bag contains 8 scoops, the 2.2 pound bag contains 16 scoops, the 5.5 pound bag contains 44 scoops and the 8.8 pound bag contains 70 scoops. The Ziwi scoop (which is included in all Ziwi Air-Dried bags) holds approximately 2 ounces of product.

Trying to confirm that my 40 pound dog only gets a total of 3.4 scoops (each scoop is 2oz) of this dog food per day??? That's it??

For an average 40-lb adult dog, it's recommended to give 3.24 to 3.4 scoops per day.

Not duplicating certain minerals

I've lately become aware of the concerns expressed by some authorities that many dog foods are, pardon the expression, sneaking in a high concentration of minerals

I've lately become aware of the concerns expressed by some authorities that many dog foods are, pardon the expression, sneaking in a high concentration of minerals through adding their salts and sometimes adding them in chelated form. This is reported to be especially troubling for excess calcium, which can be toxic to all body tissues. After researching several air-dried products, which I think are one of the best ways to feed our dogs, I found that Ziwi adds only the chelated forms of these minerals. Also Ziwi is reputed to be well balanced. Also reputed to be one of the most expensive of this type. I thought I'd try it, and my dog likes it. Still, I would be happier to find a product that provides the necessary minerals from whole foods rather than with supplements, hence my limit to 4 stars.

My senior pup has been very ill the past few weeks and he has not had much of an appetite. After this product was recommended to me due to the high quality and nutrient dense food it is, I bought a bag of the Chicken and a bag of the Mackerel + Salmon and my dog loves it!! He eats it all immediately. I also use it as a topper, but he eats all of this food when I do. Highly recommend.

My 2 large dogs love this food. One of them is very picky, and when i poured this in his bowl he came running gobbled it right up! That was a big chocker as he has never done that with any of his Orijen kibble or canned food. I purchased the Venison flavor of ziwi and I’m adding the beef and the chicken to the cart right now. So happy to see him eat with so much gusto. I love the fact that the ingredients are great for them both and its air dried so the vitamins and minerals aren’t destroyed by the methods of preserving the food.

The BEST food out there

Ziwi Peak has become my not-so-secret weapon when it comes to fearful dogs. I have not found a single dog who is able to refuse this food (even my super picky Chihuahuas)

Ziwi Peak has become my not-so-secret weapon when it comes to fearful dogs. I have not found a single dog who is able to refuse this food (even my super picky Chihuahuas). My only gripe with this food is the price but the quality is so great that I understand why it's so expensive. I have previously fed this as my dog's main diet but now that the price has gone up I use it as high-value treats instead. I have found that the chicken flavor seems to be the easiest to break into small pieces but I think my dogs like the Mackerel and Lamb flavor the best. I have been purchasing this for many years now and any time I see a sale I will pick up a few bags. Highly recommend!

I have a very very picky two year-old female Chihuahua. She likes what she likes and she won’t eat anything else. I have bought many different brandsof dry and wet, dog food and I wind up giving him away because she won’t eat them. They just sit in the bowl. But once the. Ziwi arrived I put a small portion in her bowl and she gobbled it up. I was so impressed. It is very expensive, but it does trick and since she’s so small, she doesn’t eat a lot anyway.

Finally a food she likes!

Finally!! My yorkie was extremely, extremely picky. She would hardly eat and really only wanted wet food or primal raw. The primal raw was getting toooo expensive

Finally!! My yorkie was extremely, extremely picky. She would hardly eat and really only wanted wet food or primal raw. The primal raw was getting toooo expensive & a breeder told me she feeds her dogs Ziwi. I ordered the smaller bag of the chicken with very low expectations since my dog never ate hard food (refused it all) and was very finicky. She LOVES this brand, I have stuck with the chicken because I’m afraid if I switch it she won’t eat it, however, she devours her food. I put a cup in her bowl every day and by the night time it’s all gone. My only complaint about the food is it gets smashed easily and has a lot of crumbs so by the end of the night she has all crumbs mixed in with kibble in her bowl. If there were some way around this issue, it would be the perfect food for me. Highly recommend for picky eaters

I use a lot of training treats with my poodle, so would prefer using a complete food for his treats. He is relatively picky, but he absolutely loves his ZiwiPeak!
