Maybe? It might be worth a try. When dogs frantically eat large amounts of grass, it usually means an upset stomach or other indigestion. But if this does not work, you need to talk to your vet. Chronic indigestion is not only uncomfortable for your dog, but can also escalate to bloat, which can become a life-threatening emergency for a dog. So it's important to get down to the root cause. Good luck!

They changed the ingredients and the bacteria strains with no notice. My dog wont eat these, either because of the recipe and the lack of the powder flavor on the outside or she can smell that they have different bacteria in them. I'm not sure. But this is unacceptable and now i have to try and reorder the same one and hope i get an old one or find a new probiotic and hope she likes it and works good for her. Now shes gonna be out for a few days while something gets here and will probably have a stomachache. Thanks.

Lately my 5 year old lab mix, Rozlyn, was having symptoms that looked like allergies. She was constantly licking her paws, gnawing at her sides, and would occasionally get sick with loose stool. The pattern always seem to emerge around mid-to-late August, and last until late October. Per my vet's instruction, I treated her with Benadryl, which seemed to take the edge off, but she would still scratch and lick. I eventually began to think that I was going through too much medication to treat this and I didn't think that was healthy or sustainable or her. I was about to again call my vet but then started to do some research. While looking up her symptoms, I came across and article discussing how it could be related to your dog's gut microbiome. I buy quality dog food, but it's cooked to extreme temperatures and the food could lack key nutrients and could impact gut health, which in turn can impact her paws and skin. The article mentioned that probiotics may help. I figure probiotics are better than a continuous stream of medication, so it would be an inexpensive fix to try and help! I looked on Chewy, found this brand and decided to give it a shot. I ordered one container on Friday and it arrived on Saturday- awesome logistics! Within three days of giving my dog 2 supplements in the morning, she seems like a completely different dog. In addition to the licking and itching improving, her energy levels seemed to increase. On day three, she was so much more excited to go outside and play with her ball, she napped less, and didn't seem as restless as she had before. It's probably too soon to say these exactly did the trick, but the correlation seems to align with her improvement, so I'll chalk this up as a win! Thank you!

I have a Goldendoodle that is 8 and a Newfie/Lab mix that is 11. As they’ve gotten older they seem to be having stomach issues more often. They would have soft stools and have to go out in the middle of the night. Then they would be very picky or skip meals. This past year was rough so my eye suggested the probiotic chews. Both dogs love them and so far no issues and they eat the healthy food I give them with no issue!

I just rescued a pittie who had HORRID gas.... I mean like garbage sitting out on a Florida beach in August next to a rotting corpse of a raccoon and his pile of rotting fish bad..... My other pittie has some stomach issues where it sounds like two sumo wrestlers fighting over the last egg roll on a old wooden floor that squeeks.... I think you get the picture. So I started using these and have actually seen a big improvement on both. They like the taste and eat them willingly. HOWEVER my canister consisted of a lot of little pieces. Like a lot. I didn't count the actual chews to see how many were there based on the number on the canister (maybe the itty bits were extras?) But there really is quite a few. I just sprinkle them on their food and hope I got the dose right. Overall I really do like this product and I feel it does help with the dreaded Pittie gas. Not compleltly eliminate it, but makes it some what tolerable.

I waited two months to write this review, so I could give an honest opinion. A little back story, my yellow lab has suffered from skin issues, ear infections, and allergies for her entire 11 years. I decided to try this specific brand, as it didn’t have any ingredients we thought she was allergic to. Two months in, and for the first time in her entire life, her ears are pink and clear. Not gunky, red or smelly, like we have dealt with on the regular. After years of changing foods, trying to narrow down her allergies, this is the only thing we are doing differently and I finally see an improvement with her ears! I absolutely, 100% would recommend anyone try this product if they have a dog showing symptoms of allergies/skin issues. Another plus, my dog thinks these are treats, and comes running anytime I shake the jar!

Reformulated Product (without warning) Made my Dog Sick

I have used Zesty Paws products for years since it was started and individually owned. I have used the Probiotic Bites since they were introduced. My 70 lb GSD, who I rescued in 2023 NEVER gets sick (she was HW+ when I rescued her and she didn't even get sick from the treatments or any other meds or vaccines) - In the 2 1/2 years I've had her she has never once had diarrhea or even vomited. She has been on the Probiotic Bites this entire time (one in the morning and one at night, broken up on her food) and they have never made her sick. The minute I opened the jar I noticed the bites were entirely different. Then after comparing the previous jar to the new one I saw major differences. Zesty Paws had changed the formula without notice. Since being sold, they are notorious for this but there had only been one change to this product and it had been prior to rescuing my current dog. I had been so happy that they hadn't messed with this product but now they have and it's major. I almost immediately noticed the change in her poop (stools got softer by the day) and then 2 days ago she actually passed gas (she has NEVER done that before) and then this morning diarrhea (we couldn't get back outside in time so it was in the house and she is very routine, rarely pooping in the morning). We then got outside where it continued and now her stomach is making noises. She wasn't taking these because she had issues (always had a strong stomach and firm poops), she was taking them as a preventative health supplement but NOW, because of the change, she has issues!! I've given them other chances when they changed products (stopped using some others) but I don't trust Zesty Paws anymore.

My daughter’s dog had a problem with constantly pooping. I’m talking 10-12 times, as we were trying to walk. It seemed he was cramping. This has been going on since he was a puppy. He is six now. I decided to try the probiotic on him, just once a day, since we had him for a week. Within two days, his pooping was regular! It used to take forever to walk him, constantly stopping for him to relieve himself. After the second day, he only stopped twice and we were able walk! I’m pretty sure his tummy feels better. Thank you Chewy for having this probiotic! I recommend this for any dog. We now give it to our dog too!

Dip in quality?

I used different versions of the zesty paws brand probiotic supplements for the last couple years off and on for my dog with sensitive stomach issues. Last bottle

I used different versions of the zesty paws brand probiotic supplements for the last couple years off and on for my dog with sensitive stomach issues. Last bottle I bought I really noticed a dip in quality. My dog's skin was very itchy, was losing large clumps of fur, and his stomach acid issues seemed worse. Stopped giving these and switched to a standalone fish oil and powdered probiotic instead and the difference was insane, he is doing so much better now. I can't be 100% sure how much these were effecting him but they were the only supplement I was giving daily before switching to new products, and his kibble hasn't changed. So just sharing my experience, I am chosing not to purchase anymore.

worth it for us

We adopted a mixed breed puppy at about 11 weeks old, and from the start we walked right on the knife edge of digestive issues with him. Among other super "fun" occurrences, that sweet boy could clear the room instantly with his burning-rubber-stench farts. Wow! Such stench from such a tiny body... yikes. We switched his food until we found something he was willing to eat that also improved the quality of his stool, but it still wasn't great. We bought these, started him on part of a bite per day, then one bite per day, and now he's on two bites per day. He's almost a year old and doing great: NO more burning rubber smell! Firmer stool! Hooray! At first, we had to hide the bites in wet food, because he was not a fan of the taste. I think he got used to the taste, though, because now he doesn't necessarily seem to love them, but he will indeed eat them if they're in the bowl with his dry kibble. I think it's worth trying these, and if your dog isn't a huge fan at first (but they seem to be working for digestive issues), stick with it and see if you can ease your dog into the flavor, over time.

Among the many other benefits of this product, it worked quickly to help get control over a persistent mild yeast overgrowth in my dog's ears and paws. We had been medicating and cleansing her ears for over a month when I decided to try this product. After her second (expensive! ) bottle of eardrops were gone, I decided to try this probiotic product to see if it could help. Within only two weeks, the redness and puffiness has subsided and she's finally not shaking her head and scratching at her ears anymore. I highly recommend this product.
