My 16lb Chihuahua/pug mix is very anxious and doesn’t always rest well at night. We have meds from the vet for the really tough nights but I wanted something to give on a more regular basis. These are perfect! I have been buying Zesty Paws products for years now, little Scrappy takes the 8 in 1 multivitamin every day, so I figured I would try these. The first night he had one, I was surprised at how well it worked. He was much calmer that evening leading up to bedtime, and seemed to rest better overnight. The only issue is he doesn’t care for the texture or flavor of these, they’re similar to the multivitamins - soft and crumbly. He will eventually eat it with his dinner but it isn’t something he’ll take like a treat unfortunately.

Rosie has struggled with anxiety since she was a puppy, especially separation anxiety and a strong fear of thunderstorms. Over the years, I’ve tried just about everything: Benadryl, thunder jackets, you name it. But she hated taking Benadryl, and she’d always manage to chew her thunder jacket off. I’ve been using these calming bites for a little over two weeks now, mainly when I have to leave her for several hours or when there’s a storm, and they’ve been working surprisingly well. Her anxiety used to be so intense that she would chew on herself and has actually worn down some of her teeth from it. Now, if I see her starting to get worked up, I’ll give her a calming bite and it really seems to help settle her down. So far, I’m impressed.

I have to admit, I was skeptical of an OTC product to relieve anxiety for my 16 year old Beagle, Jake. After being on half dose for a week, we had a thunderstorm coming so I gave him 2 tabs. He slept through the storm and he is typically terrified if them. Today, he had his annual vet visit thst usually brings on uncontrollable shaking and almost hyperventilating panting. He was cool as a cucumber. Even let them trim his nails without a fuss. Yes, I am a fan of this product. Only thing I don't like is he wont eat them like a treat and they are very crumbly. Which in my case is good. I just crumble into his breakfast.

I have one dog (lab mix, 9 years old, 85 lbs) who is generally pretty chill except he is TERRIFIED of thunderstorms and fireworks. Another of my dogs (Lab-AmStaff mix, 6 years old, 65 lbs) gets nervous about storms and regular rain and fireworks and the frequent artillery fire at the nearby military base and the construction work going on outside my neighborhood. And I have a new dog (AmStaff mix, 1 year, 60 lbs) recently adopted from a shelter and spayed just before she came home. This really seems to help all of them. I do have prescriptions from the vet for all three of them, but I prefer not to drug them unless it’s the Fourth of July or the weather forecast is for severe storms for several hours or something else extreme. For regular day to day use, these are great. For my two dogs (60 and 65 lbs) who get it daily, I give one with breakfast and one in the evening. For my dog who gets it situationally (85 lbs) I give him two as soon as I know there’s a problem and then will give one more at a time if it’s an ongoing thing.

We learned very quickly that he had been abused by a male, he cowered whenever my husband attempted to pet/bond with him and would urinate and then hide. I think he had been scolded about the submissive urination and so he would hide to avoid that. We spent months quietly cleaning up and reinforcing that he would not get scolded or abused whenever he would urinate while my husband petted him or tried to play with him and he started building confidence but it was still happening every single time even though his body language was more relaxed. This supplement has really helped. He has not stopped completely, we have to young sons and when they get loud while husband is playing with him he will accidently urinate due to the overstimulation of loud noise but he has finally truly relaxed and opened up with my husband and now will play and allow my husband to pet him and sit with him without urinating on himself.

We tried drugs from our vet and that did not work. So I called Chewy and that customer service lady said he could reccomend Zesty paws based on her expeiance with her cats ( I geuss cats have this weird behavior too). So I bought the 10 piece starter pack and wow I got results. Went ahead and ordered the 90 pack jar. Now i give my dog a gummy at 3-4 pm and anothetr gummy before bed at 9-10 pm and that seems to keep her calm at night so so far in 2 weeks Zesty Paws has worked for us. Fingers crossed we found a med that is not harmful and works. Dog is a mutt 55-60 pounds 12 years old and thank God for Zesty Paws for now.

The product was supposed to be 10 chewables and I received a bag of powder. I don't know itlf they were packed incorrectly or stored incorrectly but the best I can do now is guess how much a chew was and sprinkle it on her food. Definitely not advisable.
He Didn't Knock Me Down

I let my boy smell the turkey flavored bites and then, placed the container on the washing machine. He put his paws on the washing machine twice to look for the bites. He liked the smell. However, I waited until 3 p.m to give him 2 bites, based on the weight chart. He weighs 50lbs. By 4 and 6 p.m he still was his active self. We went out at seven p.m and returned home at nine p.m. I could tell by his eyes he'd been sleeping. He greeted me but, didn't almost knock me down from being happy. He settled down a lot quicker than he normally does. I picked up the container and let him look at it. He followed me to my office. I could tell he wanted some more. However, I didn't give it to him. The Stress & Anxiety bites have natural ingredients. It took a few hours to relax him. Overall, he was calmer and didn't tear up anything like he normally does if he gets anxious if we're not at home.
THESE REALLY WORK FOR MY MAX

I have tried many many things over the last 10 years and nothing really worked. Then one of your sweet angels who took my call suggested these and said they really worked for her dog. I must admit I didn't think it would. But 2 days after receiving we had 2 bad storms roll in over a day and a half. The first one I didn't get chews to him in time before but it still ended up calming him in an hour. The second storm I was ready for and it worked perfectly. He even was a bit brave and barked at the noise of thunder instead of panicking and labored breathing. WAY TO GO CHEWY...TO THE RESCUE AGAIN- THE SALMON FOOD AND NOW THE CALMING TREATS! MY PUPS ARE IN REALLY GOOD HEALTH AND NOW HAVE SOME PEACE WHEN NEEDED. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My dog cries almost constantly. Right after we adopted her, we thought something was wrong. She would just pace the living room ALL EVENING and cry. She would stop crying when we pet her, but only for a moment. She cries even more in the car and if she sees a bunny, squirrel, et cet, she will be worked up and crying loudly for hours. We exercise her and tire her out, but that only lasts a few hours. Her crying was getting to the point that it was imacting my own mental health due to the constant crying with no relief. These bites completely changed things! We try not to give them to her daily, but there is a HUGE difference when we do. When on the treats, she cries little or none at all. She is more affectionate. She still has energy and can still play at her normal levels at the dog park, but when we are home she is content playing with her toys or snoozing on the couch. I was hesitant to buy these because of the price, but one day I was so desperate I just did it. I am so glad I did. We can finally have peace in our house and our pup can hang out with us without the constant pacing and crying without any strange side effects. Will definitely continue to purchase.
