i had seen things online about the elusive banana, but i was unsure. i mean it’s a 6 dollar catnip toy like any other. i got this for my boy’s birthday out of curiosity and allowed him to play with it before the day just to see how he took to it. within seconds he stole it out of my hands and was running around the house like a mad man. i mean, i’ve never seen a fat cat run so fast. he hid it from me until 2 days later i find said banana, DOA, with multiple teeth stab wounds. i’m glad he loved it but i only shame him for ruining his own birthday gift.

Although all of our cats enjoy this catnip banana, our eldest, Cupid, loves them so much that we're on our third one. He and one of our other cats, Pixelm have completely destroyed the first two. When the third arrived, Cupid went after it before I'd even removed it from its packaging. Yeowww! filling is pure catnip. No fake fluffy stuffing with only a small amount of catnip - or some toys are just given the scent of catnip with who knows what nasty stuff. Yeowww! catnip toys are packed with dried catnip. They are pretty well sewn but it's only fabric and stitching against the teeth and claws of a cat. My two cats like the banana because they can chew on the ends (same goes for next door's cat who visits). Once a hole is created the catnip can be dumped out in a pile or scattered around the house so these are not for anyone who doesn't let their cats be cats. My two boys have a lot of energy. Not all the Yeowww! toys are easily or quickly demolished. The rainbow has been around a while. The fish is hanging on. With my guys it has to do with how easy they can hold onto the toy while working on creating a hole in the outer fabric. The banana is definitely the preferred shape. It's not just our current cats. We've rescued plenty over the years. The superior quality of Yeowww! catnip has always been preferred by our cats. They have lots of other toys, scratching posts, etc., to keep them busy but when they want to slow down the catnip toys allow them to enjoy "kitty crack", a nap and then the munchies. One cat actually uses the rainbow toy as a pillow for his nap on occasion.

This is one of those cat toys that I think is cute, but then I don't get it bc I'm like really, I'm gonna spend that much on a toy they may or may not like!? But then I had an order that needed a few bucks mote and this was on sale, so I purchased the banana. Wow, the best toy I've purchased for my cats so far and I'm ready to now purchase all of them as needed! I have 3 cats and they all love it in different ways. Surprisingly, the two younger ones do kick it even thought it's a little small,but they don't care. My pup love all the cat toys too, but since he'll chew them up in two seconds, he's learned that this one he has to drop and then I put it back up on the cat landing...and then my youngest cat proceeds to bat it back down on the ground, oy, lol. My pup did get it good the first time and so I had to stitch it back up, but everyone still loves it. The catnip mixed with saliva (?) has made the banana kind of discolored, but everyone still loves it. I'm not sure why this toy stands out, other than that it's like full stuffed with catnip vs other toys are usually stuffing with a little catnip sprinkled in...? Idk, but it's a hit. I'll definitely buy again!

This is the second catnip filled banana I've purchased for my cats. The first was a different brand, and they didn't seem to react to the catnip much over the past 2 years. I bought this one to see if they liked it any better, and they definitely did! Obsessed with it as soon as I opened it. The 4 of them fight over it. Of course, they kick it and chew on it...and today I woke up to catnip all over the carpet, as it has developed a hole at the seam. It'll vacuum up easily, but a toy like this maybe should be reinforced better! I'm going to try to repair it since they like it so much, but I'll probably end up having to replace it. The catnip in this is GOOD. But expect to find it all over your house within a month of your cats like it like mine do

I didn't understand why my cat seemed to love this toy so much more than other catnip toys, and why it's slightly more expensive, until I saw a video on their website

I didn't understand why my cat seemed to love this toy so much more than other catnip toys, and why it's slightly more expensive, until I saw a video on their website of them cutting one in half. It is COMPLETELY stuffed with catnip. No cotton or polyester stuffing, no plastic filler: It's literally just cloth filled with catnip. That means a cat that likes catnip (some aren't affected by catnip at all) will become laughably stoned the first time they play with this. But my favorite part is that most other catnip toys only interest my cat the first day, but this one can still lure her into her cat carrier months after purchasing. The downside of it being all catnip is that theoretically it could be messy if your cat breaks it open. I haven't actually found this, the toy last months in our household, and I throw it out when it's first starting to fray, so there's never been much of a mess. If your cat tends to eviscerate toys, this one might be messier than other catnip toys, but this one might be safer too. The cotton or polyester filling inside most other cat toys can cause a blockage if your cat swallows it, but loose catnip doesn't have that risk. That said, please throw it out once you notice it's breaking, since even a loose thread can be a danger to cats.
