Yarty Squirrel Proof Wild Bird Feeder, 3-lb, Green

This bird feeder is plug and play right out of the box. Nothing to put together. Just fill, flip down the perches and hang it up. The feeder is a beautiful right red and draws your eye to it wherever it’s hanging. The birds find it easy to perch and eat without a problem. However, when squirrels attempt to access the feed, The weight on the perch automatically shifts the feeder access to a closed position. Our over abundance of squirrels tried multiple times to break in and seems to now have given up and thrown in the towel with this feeder 😂. Definitely a win/win investment!

For the first couple of days, it seemed wonderful....then the furry tailed squirrel thugs broke off the little metal birds that are supposed to cover the hole when they hang from it and then proceeded to flip out the metal hole rings and chew through the plastic container and eat the food. We tried zip ties to hold the metal birds in place, no luck. Ended up buying 23 gauge wire and zip ties the wire to the feeder..... nightmare. The feeder would be great if....the 23 gauge wire was surrounding it and the metal birds were stronger and attached better.

This bird feeder is one of the nicest ones we've owned. It comes already assembled and is super easy to fill. Love the anti-squirrel feature. When any weight heavier than a bird is applied to any perch, the holes close so the squirrels can't get to the seeds. Very pleased with this feeder.

It took the birds a day or so to catch on but now I have a landing pad for all of my local birds. The feeder was easy to fill and set up. It holds plenty of bird seeds and in the week it’s been up I haven’t had to refill it. It’s sturdy and pleasing to look at.
