Wysong Epigen 90 Starch Free Dry Ferret Food, 5-lb bag

all of my ferrets are rescue ferrets and they where all previoulsy fed either marshalls food or something not even as decent as marshalls. while marshalls food will sustain a ferret throughout its life, it is not nutrionally the best kibble diet you could provide for your ferret. while on lower quality foods the ferrets musk odor is very previlent, they didnt have as much energy, and their overall body conditions where sickly looking. after getting them to switch to this formula, and mind you switching has to be very gradual, ferrets odor has reduced to practically nothing, energy and brightness of the eyes has increased, and overall body condition is vastly improved. i feed them mainly this kibble, with a little bit of wysong epigen 90 digestive support kibble, and they still have a tiny bit of Marshall's in their mix as i have switched them very gradually with not tummy troubles at all. I also give them wysong freeze dried raw ferret archetype rabbit, quail, and chicken foods with their kibble diet. i offer the freeze dried raw dry mainly but sometimes i mix it into a soup for them too. I only have to buy one 5 pound bag of this food a month for all four ferrets and i just add it to the remaining mix i have in my bin. i use half of the bin which holds 15 pounds of dry kibble in a month. they are overall very happy and healthy, and mostly their veterinarian is pleased with their foods.

I have used this ferret food for my ferrets for over 2 years. It is a very high quality food. I have completely phased out Marshall ferret products due to the over use of corn meal, peas, and grains. The Wysong is the best for healthy, obligate carnivores such as ferrets. I am also affiliated with a ferret exclusive shelter, so I assure you if you are nervous to take your ferrets off of the Marshalls...don't be. They will be much healthier after you switch them. I got recommendations about giving this food to my ferret and it is much healthier than many other ferret food brands. My ferret is still getting used to the new food but i haven't seen any irregular poops. As long as you slowly transition the food from their old food to this, you shouldn't have much trouble. I've had ferrets throughout my entire life span and never have my ferrets been this healthy, or looked this beautiful. They aren't angora ferrets but since feeding this their fur is soft, shiny and really beautiful, completely astounding.The change took about a month before their fur reflected the change so be ready for that, but they're the happiest little ones and I believe its largely due to a diet thats supportive of their needs. My only wish is that we could buy bigger bags!
