I was writing to let you know that I tried this cat litter world’s best with lemongrass scent. My cats started sneezing and coughing. When I googled information about lemon grass, it said it could be toxic to cats. Why would they put that in cat litter? I ended up going with the unscented .

I tested 6 different non-clay, clumping cat litters and here’s how this one stacks up: Texture: texture was like burnt toast, crumbled up - small pieces, but a bit sharp Smell: almost no smell, pleasant Clump: made a good looking clump, but it fell apart when I tried to lift it out of the bowl, quite delicate Tracking: no tracking in my thumb test Overall impression: I need better clumping, but otherwise really liked this litter. My methodology was as follows. To start, I poured a cup of litter into a bowl. I added a quarter coin to compare size of grain in the photo. For texture, just felt it with my hands and compared it to a typical clay clumping litter. I was looking to avoid sharp edges and large chunks, as one of my cats seems to be very texture sensitive. Did my best to describe the textures in the ratings. Smell: Took a good whiff before adding water and after. I did NOT test with urine, so can’t speak to how well it handles urine odors. Clump: I poured 1/4 cup of water into the center of the bowl, then waited about 10 minutes before using a spoon to lift up the clump. I also emptied out the bowl to see how much water had sunk to the bottom of the bowl and clumped there. It’s important to note that the litter in the bowl was only about 2” deep, whereas ideally in your litter box it’s more like 4 inches deep. Track: I put my dry thumb down in the litter, then lifted it out and tapped it on a piece of paper. This isn’t a cat’s foot, obviously, but it does give some indication of the litter’s general track-ability. The litters I tested (someone in the marketing departments needs to work on the length of these names). I was pleasantly surprised by this litter. I got one bag thinking to test in out in one of the 4 litter boxes to see how the cats liked it and I only had to use
I was pleasantly surprised by this litter. I got one bag thinking to test in out in one of the 4 litter boxes to see how the cats liked it and I only had to use about 1/3 of the bag to fill the whole box. This stuff is really vacuum packed in there, so it goes a long way. The scent is ok, if a little strong... but it's definitely better than cat poop! Another bonus: it was far less dusty when pouring than typical clay litter. So far it's been 3 days and there is no unpleasant waste odor. The cats seem to be fine with the change and use the box just as much as with their old litter. It seems to track a little less than clay, but it does still track. And it's a bit more difficult to scoop, but id say it's an over all win.

I care for the environment and don't want to be exposed to clay dust since it's all bad for your health too SO I went with this formula instead of the regular stuff. And so far so good. It's still not fantastic for odor blocking technology BUT it does do that job with little aftersmell and it's not toxic to my cat and that's important.

I like that it’s corn, so it’s eco friendly but also septic and camper friendly. We travel a lot and being able to flush his waste makes like a lot easier. I enjoy the lemongrass scent of this and it is low dust!
Excellent Odor Control, Same Clumping Performance
I’ve been using this litter for several months now. I’ve been using it alongside the Multicat Unscented to give my cats the option of going with an unscented litter
I’ve been using this litter for several months now. I’ve been using it alongside the Multicat Unscented to give my cats the option of going with an unscented litter. While the cats use both boxes, they seem to prefer to urinate in the Poop Fighter and only occasionally defecate in it. When they do, there is a slight smell. But it is less than with the unscented and the smell lingers far less. The clumping performance is virtually identical to World’s Best unscented multicat. The litter seems like it can go longer than the unscented because the light lemongrass scent does mask the smell this corn litter gets around 5 weeks. However, it is recommended to fully change litter every month for hygiene purposes. My biggest complaint is the price. It’s 41% more expensive than the unscented multicat. For this reason I only fill one box with Poop Fighter. If cost is not as big a factor, the added odor control is worth the additional cost. Performance is identical in almost every way to multicat unscented. The granules seem slightly larger. With a litter mat tracking is nonexistent. Overall, this is one my favorite litters I’ve ever tried. I just wish cost wasn’t so high.

At home my husband jokingly asked if there is a ghost cat in the house as there were white powder footprints all over. Next I see one of our all black cats sitting in front of me with white paws after having just stepped out of the litter box. He’s not the type to dig and play in there so seeing his paws covered was disappointing and kinda gross. Looks like I’ll go back to original Worlds Best.

So far, this corn based alternative is the best I’ve tried!

This one reminds me of the Low Tracking litter since it isn’t as dusty which is good since my cats are sensitive to litter dust. The lemongrass scent isn’t too strong and the litter is pretty effective at keeping smells under control. For reference, I have seven cats.

This stuff works like nothing I can explain!! I purchased a VERY LARGE hooded stainless steel litter box and needed to find an appropriate litter for stainless steel. It’s like butter, nothing sticks, and it lasts forever!! I was worried about the price thinking about the cost of the regular clumping cat litter that made a mess and only blocked odor for a day or two. This stuff is magic. I still am using the same bag that I initially filled the litter box full almost 4-5 months ago & still not one single hint that there is a litter box in the room. Very simple clean up what little there is to clean up.

This is my FAVORITE cat litter. I make the investment since it's more expensive than the rest, but it makes you buy litter MUCH less frequently, so you actually save money. It lasts a long time, as long as you stay frequently removing poops and pees, and i find one bag lasts me the entire month. Theres no more lingering cat litter smell in my house. I tried the other World's Bests and while i like the lavender one (great scent), Poop Fighter does the best job of eliminating my cat's stinkies. The minute you've hit below 2 inches of litter, sprinkle a thin fresh layer on top and it's like she never dropped her stink bombs inside. That's how my single bag lasts so long. And the texture is similar to traditional clay, which i like because my cat dislikes the pine pellets style. (Single cat household here)
