which size?

Is this made of safe, non-toxic materials?

Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2025
The Pupsicle is made from a non-toxic, BPA and Phthalate-free natural rubber.

Is there a trick with screwing it together, and unscrewing it?

Answer by ChewySep 20, 2025
To put it together, just align the two halves and screw them together by hand, using light pressure. There’s no need to overtighten—just a snug fit will keep it secure for pups to enjoy. To open it, unscrew the halves by hand. If it ever feels stuck, gently twist back and forth rather than using force, to avoid any damage.

How often can you give pups a Pupsicle treat?

Answer by ChewyJul 25, 2025
These can can be used as an everyday treat.

Impulse Buy That Became My and My Dog’s Favorite

My dog isn’t a big chewer, and she doesn’t really like the rubber/kong-type toys. I also didn’t understand how she would be able to eat anything through this toy. However, she desperately needed an activity that would keep her busy longer than 10 minutes (we tried puzzles, snuffle mats, lick mats, frozen treats, etc.). The pupsicle keeps her busy for FORTY FIVE MINUTES, and she is obsessed with it! She’s calmer afterwards because she’s had a lengthy activity, and it’s really helping in our “how to do nothing” training. She’s super food-motivated, but I once ate a cheeseburger while she had a pupsicle, and she didn’t look my way ONCE. It’s also helping me keep her busy/calm while I work on the relationship between her and my senior cat (we also work with a licensed dog trainer). My cat needs to observe and get comfortable with her, but she’s so high energy that she scares him off every time. With the pupsicle, she’s in her own world, and Bruno can take his time. I really can’t believe it took me so long to purchase. The allergy support treats help her itchy french bulldog skin, and the calming treats turn her brain off for an afternoon of long naps while I have to work. This is a miracle product for my situation as far as I’m concerned.

I bought four of them for my three small dog's! They are the best SHELTER DOG finds you could ever have The old man doxiy-phoo 10 to 13 yrs. is not crazy about the ball, so he gets his in a small dish and really enjoys it after it melts a little. His five year old brother likes his to lick all gone! Their Baby Sister goes through two frozen treats when possible, but with her she will chew up the ball if I were to let her and she did her first one in the first day. So she get's the old man's blue ball for now! Her pink one is partly chewed, can't make it close any longer. They all really enjoy the mixture! And if I make it up a head of time, it thickens up and it makes it easer to pile up in the mold for bigger frozen treats! WE ALL LOVE THEM AND THE FILLING!!!

I foster dogs for an area rescue, and Carl, Carlos, Stinky Boy cane to stay 2 weeks ago. He was emaciated, not eating due to grief and being dropped off at a city shelter by a family that didn't plan to keep him. I was told to break up his meals until his stomach gre accustomed to foods again, and I was worried he would be getting anything wile I had to be at work. This item is a godsend, a peanut butter flavored one that he has taken to almost immediately. I love it because it is easy to prep, and I know he is getting something healthy. So glad to have found it!

Woof. I read about this in the NYT wirecutter and immediately purchased it. However, the treat sits too low in the toy. My dod could not access the ball and got so worked up about it, she vomited quite a bit. It's a nice idea, this toy, but the design seems a bit flawed. She ended up trying to chew her way through to get the p. butter treat. I purchased the correct size for my 60 pound Labradoodle.

My dogs love these treats - but after a few uses these things are impossible to open. I’ve tried immediately rinsing out after use, freezing them, putting oil on the inside, but no matter what you do it takes 15 min to open and after your fingers and wrists are sore from all the maneuvers to get it open. These could be a great product if they made using them easier.

My dog loves the toy and it keeps her occupied for a long time. However after each use it’s incredibly difficult to twist open. It takes about 15 minutes of soaking, twisting, rolling to try and manhandle it open. That’s even after oiling the threads before each use. I’ve injured my wrists attempting to open. I couldn’t imagine anyone with limited grip, wrist and arm strength being able to use this.

This is really neat in theory, but it didn't work well for my dog. He had a very difficult time accessing the pupsicle pop once we put it into the dispenser. I believe we purchased the correct size of treats (Large refills for the Large dispenser). Our vet had recommended this toy and the pupsicles, so I was disappointed that it seemed so difficult to use them together (as they are meant to be). I can still put peanut butter or something inside here and freeze it for the dog, and he enjoys that, so it's not a total loss. I'm just disappointed that I don't have a better way to dispense the pupsicles, specifically.

This is our second one after not being able to find her first one for few days and getting desperate. I read the reviews about it getting stuck. I rinse it soon after she’s done, and it doesn’t need to be tightened all the way, a few treads is fine. I use the mold to mix pumpkin and Greek yogurt, I can’t believe how much she loves it and I feel it’s much better for her than flavored bones, pb in a kong, or other treats that keep her busy. I cut the premade balls in half and that works too. Ordering a spare (our third) now!

Love this puzzle toy. I was given one as a gift and I bought a second one since it keeps my dog entertained for 20-30 minutes. I enjoy making my own mixtures that require little effort on my end. I tend to freeze a tablespoon of wet food with water or mix some dry food and Greek yogurt or use the store-bought treats that can go in them (those last longer). It's been especially helpful since my dog is going through heartworm treatment and we need several ways to entertain her during this challenging time. The only issue is if I leave it with her after she finishes, she can destroy it pretty easily. The Kong is more robust for heavy chewers but requires a little more work to set up, so I mix and match which one I'm using.

The Treat that LASTS!

Our 4 dogs LOVE these Pupsicles. My 3 German Shepherd come running as soon as I touch the Pops bag. It takes them probably about 30 minutes for them to finish the XL size. The best thing is my 14 year old Chihuahua who has 3 teeth can finally have something like the big boys. He can lick it for hours and loves the Birthday Pops! Pupsicles are a winner in our house!
