Not very satisfied with the result - I bought it for finding our 12 years old girl genetic health predispositions and her relatives. And the result shows that our pure breed Japanese Akita (or Akita Inu) is 100% American Akita. What? This is not right. And the test results show that all 268 health condition testing is clear which is a good thing. But as we know, our girl has had low platelet count which our vet said it most likely is a genetic defect in Akita. The Traits and Behaviors result was OK except the "partially floppy ears" which is absolutely not accurate.

Birdie is a rescue puppy, the rescue guessed that she was a giant Schnauzer German Shepherd mix. DNA test says she is mini Schnauzer/Bull Terrier/Husky mix! Interesting and fun to get the results which included low shedding (yay!!), tendency for separation anxiety (good to have a heads up so we can work on that early).

I highly recommend this dna kit. It was easy to complete and results came back pretty quick. I have had so much fun reading about my dog and learning everything about him. Its fun and interesting. We were shocked to find out our dachshund is not full blooded! We had no idea he was not a full dachshund. I love all the medical information this gives. Its very informative and alot of fun. We adopted our dog from a rescue. It was fun to see whether or not our suspicions of breed type were accurate. We received a thorough report of breed, possible genetic markers, whether or not Percy may be more susceptible to certain illnesses or conditions. We also were amused by the "family tree" graphic.
