Wild One Hands-Free Adjustable Rope Dog Leash, Standard: 4 1/3 to 8 1/2-ft long, 1/2-in wide, Moonstone

I love running with my dog and needed a good long running leash that could attach to my waist by sliding it over my head and bucking it to my waist. I also needed a leash with a place to put my poo bags. I thought this leash was not only cute in color and style but it also had all the functions I was looking for, however anytime I run or even walk with this leash around my waist it always loosens and falls right off of me onto the floor. I keep having to readjust the leash to my waist anytime I run or walk and it really slows me down and trips my dog up so she ends up falling on her face because I have to run while I readjust the leash. The poo bag holder hoop it has seems to make this leash even worse as anytime I run the poo bags slam into my hip bones and leave me with sore hip bones after my runs. Good points: The leash is really good as a long leash for beach walks while I hold onto it using a more snitched hand to it, the poo bag holder is nice to have on the leash, the color is super cute and even the style is as well super cute, it’s durable, it’s really good quality and the clips hold onto things super tight so no loose dogs can get the clip off themselves.

I’ve tried all kinds of leashes and harnesses for my pitties that ranged from 60-90 lbs. wild one is the best I’ve found. The harness is lightweight and easy to put on and adjust. The 3 loops are extremely convenient. The Rope leash is very comfortable in hand or around the waist. My dogs don’t pull too much, but the leash seems to be able to handle their weight and power when needed. I love how easy it is to adjust the length as well. The hands free ability is a game changer.

I love the color and I like how adjustable the leash is depending on how you would like to use it. I don't like the way the product feels on my hand especially when my dog pulls it gets very uncomfortable. I also think that the adjustable rubber that holds poop bags shouldn't move around as much as it does and that this product is too expensive for what it is worth. I would love to see an updated version of this product.

I like rope leashes because they tend to be chew resistant, and I am skeptical of the usual lobster claw type clasps as I have had lobster clasps break or come loose quite frequently with my strong pullers. My last rope leash was a single rather short length, which is exactly what I want in a city situation, but I wanted the option this time of lengthening it a bit in low-control situations to let my dog play or sniff more freely. This leash does just that. I really love being able to slide the rubber handle junction, it's a pleasant and smooth feeling but never moves when I don't want it to. I haven't tried it on my waist or cross body because my dog is a strong puller and would probably saw me in half. I am very impressed with the clasp. It is heavy duty, the hinge doesn't budge, and it feels unlikely to come undone on accident. I have attached an additional heavy duty carabiner for extra security since my new underweight rescue dog can slip out of his harness, so I attach the claw clip to his collar and the carabiner to the harness and feel very confident that he will not be going anywhere. That being said sometimes the leash does lengthen a little bit when I have it at the shortest configuration and he pulls a certain way. The other problem is that when it's at its shortest it is very easy for him to get his head or legs stuck in the extra "loop" the doubled-up rope forms.
