Simple, Natural Feeding Solutions

Wild Delight Natural and Wildlife Formula products focus on straightforward feeding using quality ingredients birds and wildlife naturally prefer. These blends and single-ingredient options offer a no-frills approach to backyard feeding, making it easy to provide familiar foods that support natural foraging behaviors.

Designed for Natural Foraging

Natural and Wildlife Formula products are ideal for birders who prefer simple ingredients and targeted feeding. These options allow birds and wildlife to feed as they would in nature, supporting instinctive eating habits and making them a great choice for everyday feeding across seasons.

Top Picks from Natural and Wildlife Formula

Popular products include Safflower for cardinals and finches, Outdoor Finch blends for small songbirds, and Fine Sunflower Chips for easy eating with less mess. Dove and Quail mixes support ground feeders, while Shelled Peanuts, In-Shell Peanuts, and Crunch N Nut attract woodpeckers, jays, squirrels, and other wildlife.

Feeding Birds and Wildlife Together

Backyard feeding often attracts more than birds alone. Songbirds like finches and cardinals prefer seeds in elevated feeders, while ground feeders such as doves and quail eat from open areas below. Woodpeckers and jays are drawn to nuts, and wildlife like squirrels and chipmunks seek hearty foods like peanuts. To feed them together, offer different foods in separate feeders and locations to support natural feeding habits and encourage peaceful sharing of your outdoor space.

About Wild Delight

Wild Delight creates premium wild bird food using carefully selected ingredients birds naturally prefer. With a focus on quality, innovation, and enjoyment, Wild Delight helps transform outdoor spaces into active bird habitats, supporting healthy foraging habits and more rewarding birdwatching experiences year after year.

I hung this last night; the goldfinches found it early this morning, and I've had 3-4 hanging from it all day! I wanted a small amount to test my set up, and this fit the bill. The seed seems fresh, the sock feeder feels like good quality. Now that I have established its success with my winter invaders, I will plan to run larger quantities next winter! I did hang a baffle with the feeder as a weather guard.

Got this by accident in one of my orders, hung it up outside next to our regular feeder, nothing happened for a few days. I was just getting ready to take it down when I looked outside again and saw 2 beautiful Goldfinches pecking away at the seed sock. They love it and are beautiful to watch. Will be buying this on purpose when they go through it all.

I started buying these sock feeders years ago. The bring in the most beautiful little yellow finch birds. When these sacks are empty, I wash them and fill again with finch food. They don't last forever. The littl birds are a bit hard on them. I either try to mend them for a while, or, if close to the bottom, I tie a knot at the bottom. My house is at 5,000' It gets pretty dark, dreary and sometimes stormy here.Yet out my window are all these beautiful little yellow birds I'm able to to enjoy all winter.

I had tried finch socks before, and no finch or any other bird would come near it. Well, since we were now living in a different city, and there were several house finches and a few goldfinch already here, I thought I would try again. But nope! Hung for several days at the same feeding station, and had NO birds even check it out! The seed seemed fresh, very black and glossy, so as not to let it go to waste, I opened up the sack and poured the seeds into the tube feeder. The nyger seed was eaten readily (didn't see a bunch dumped on the ground on purpose like milo). Hence, the 4-star rating. My product came in a pristine white netted sack stuffed with fresh seeds. The birds here just had no clue or no interest in the sock. You might give it a try to see if finches or other small birds will go for it, but if they don't seem to notice it after several days, try mixing the seed in with other bird seed, or just offer it in a regular feeder. It might take a day or two for the birds to either find or get used to the sock. I left mine almost a week, and then gave up fearing the seed would go stale. I won't buy nyger seed in this format again.

I've tried another brand finch sock in the past with zero luck so I was hesitant to try again. I am so glad I did. Not only did the 2 gold finches that were at my regular feeder take to the sock immediately, they brought 5 friends and I am pretty sure I'll have more soon enough. Good thing I have plenty of trees to hang multiple socks from, I think I'll need more than just one.

What I think of the Wild Delight Sock Finch Feeder is much less important than how the finches feel, and they utterly love it. The length holds a few at a time as they prefer, and is high enough off the ground to protect them from cat predators. Other brands have been way too long which leads to seed going bad as well as bird deaths--not the result we want. It's great.

Try it out and give it time - it doesn't work immediately, but now that the birds have found the sock, they are in the backyard every day.

Unfortunately, the finches were not drawn to it. We have a house bird feeder that they love and so I thought they might like the sock. I tried different locations for a couple of days each, but my feathered friends were not interested. I don’t blame Chewy, which for me is the best company I’ve ever dealt with. No better customer service. It’s just that this item isn’t for the birds (at least, not mine.). I normally would let Chewy know, but at a time like this, it’s too trivial.
