Simple, Natural Feeding Solutions

Wild Delight Natural and Wildlife Formula products focus on straightforward feeding using quality ingredients birds and wildlife naturally prefer. These blends and single-ingredient options offer a no-frills approach to backyard feeding, making it easy to provide familiar foods that support natural foraging behaviors.

Designed for Natural Foraging

Natural and Wildlife Formula products are ideal for birders who prefer simple ingredients and targeted feeding. These options allow birds and wildlife to feed as they would in nature, supporting instinctive eating habits and making them a great choice for everyday feeding across seasons.

Top Picks from Natural and Wildlife Formula

Popular products include Safflower for cardinals and finches, Outdoor Finch blends for small songbirds, and Fine Sunflower Chips for easy eating with less mess. Dove and Quail mixes support ground feeders, while Shelled Peanuts, In-Shell Peanuts, and Crunch N Nut attract woodpeckers, jays, squirrels, and other wildlife.

Feeding Birds and Wildlife Together

Backyard feeding often attracts more than birds alone. Songbirds like finches and cardinals prefer seeds in elevated feeders, while ground feeders such as doves and quail eat from open areas below. Woodpeckers and jays are drawn to nuts, and wildlife like squirrels and chipmunks seek hearty foods like peanuts. To feed them together, offer different foods in separate feeders and locations to support natural feeding habits and encourage peaceful sharing of your outdoor space.

About Wild Delight

Wild Delight creates premium wild bird food using carefully selected ingredients birds naturally prefer. With a focus on quality, innovation, and enjoyment, Wild Delight helps transform outdoor spaces into active bird habitats, supporting healthy foraging habits and more rewarding birdwatching experiences year after year.

This is really unhealthy for squirrels although they may eat it. It's empty calories with almost no nutritional value for them. They need nuts(unsalted), pumpkin seeds(unsalted- in or out of shell), small amounts of veggies and fruit, insect protein like meal worms or dried soldier fly larva(i know, gross. They look like dried crickets which also could be good), and if you really love your squirrels give them a little 1” cube of avocado. It's incredibly healthy for them and they love it no matter where you live. It is especially important for them in the winter and hottest part of the summer when finding high protein & fat content food is hard for them. I go through 1 avocado a week with 10 squirrels each day eating a piece along with whatever fruit and veggies I am eating- cherries(they LOVE cherries), blueberries, raspberries, slices of banana, grapes, melon, pumpkin, and carrots. I get a 2lb bag of baby carrots for $3 and it feeds the squirrels and rabbits who all come right up to me after a year of supplementing their diets. The ultimate food for them is called Squirrel Complete by Exotic Nutrition. It's expensive but I make it last by adding cheap pepitas(shelled pumpkin seeds), meal worms, walnut pieces, and unsalted peanuts. I also throw them nuts in a shell so they keep their edge and store food for a later date. I feed 10-15 squirrels, 3 dozen birds, 8-10 rabbits, and some turkeys for $60 a month. That sounds like a lot but I really enjoy the experience of nurturing these little cuties and they repay me with hours of entertainment and friendship. One sits in my lap while I feed the others and two different breeds of wild rabbits stand up on their hind legs to take baby carrots from me. I could monetize my Youtube videos and offset the cost easily but I do this for the love of nature. I feed them in the morning and evening, so most people could do this on $30 a month(how I started). I suggest buying squirrel complete here and pepitas from A mazon. The birds eat the same mix and I often further extend the food by buying a bag of Wild Delight Deck Porch-n-Patio or a similar zero waste bird food. The other benefit of this is that my family now eats more fruits and veggies(always on hand now) and I can make a fresh batch of guacamole anytime. Do not feed squirrels junk food like chips, cookies, crackers, or bread. If you want to give them a super special treat on a rare occasion then put a little peanut butter on a baby carrot or on a ceramic or glass plate. They will LOVE you forever when you take care of them. It may take a little while for them to stop being skittish but it's worth it. They come sit outside my window when hungry and try to get my attention some days. Super cute!

I put in my feeders and I noticed every day that the Food is NOT being eaten by the wildlife squirrels and birds, the food was Un-touch. So, As I was emptying The feeders to throw this food away I Noticed that the Peanuts are covered with Black Mold on every single Shelled Peanuts inside the Bag. Than I realized how smart these animals are that they knew the seed was bad and their natural animal instinct stopped them from eating this food. I am very Unhappy with the Poor Quality of this Food.

All critters love it

Basic mix loved by squirrels, rabbits, birds and deer. Even our destructive but adorable, shy little vole pops out for some!
