So good for my Dobies!

I was looking for a new but reasonably priced food for my sensitive pups. Dobermans are known for their sensitive stomachs and skin issues which mine both have. We used PPP sensitive for a while but my oldest girl had to be put on apoquil for her skin and I was sure there had to be something else we could do so I tried a very expensive local only dog food but the cost was too much every month and we had to find something else. I found this sensitive food on Chewy and have been blown away by how good it is for both my pups. Their skin issues have totally disappeared and my girl got taken off her apoquil. All tummy issues are gone and they have normal poops. I would 100% recommend this food to anyone looking for a cost efficient yet nutritious food. Coats are shiny and they are happy and healthy.

My dogs DEVOUR THIS!

My two labrador retrievers had consistent tummy troubles with any sort of chicken or beef based dog food. Up until we found this food, I wasn’t feeling very optimistic about anything suiting their dietary needs. From day one they have gobbled down this dog food and have not had a single digestive issue! It is very reasonably priced and one bag of this food lasts us two weeks. My dogs really enjoy this food and I would highly recommend for any fellow labrador owners for their pups with sensitive tummies!

Good but not as described

My dog is 187 pounds. He needs large chunks of kibble. We have been ordering this food for awhile now. He does great on it when it’s the large chunks. Not se good when we get this bag of large breed and it’s tiny kibble of different color and size. Wholesome says it’s not their problem. It causes itching issues when we get the small kibble. He is fine when we get the bigger kibble. I can’t order it anymore if the manufacturer isn’t going to back their food. Same bag different kibble, one out of three bags is the actual bigger chunks.

Thank you Wholesomes for creating this food! No peas is a big deal! I tried this as a fairly desperate attempt to find something my 12 y.o. Dane could handle. Her digestion isn't great at this point. Over a 2 week period I transitioned her to the large breed sensitive and she has rebounded! She will eat this kibble w no added toppers ect. The only ingredient I am not excited about is the canola oil. I have now switched all 5 dogs ,2 more Danes and 2 GSD's to this kibble and they all love it and are doing great on it. Thank you again for making a "clean" kibble without all the pea products, legumes ect.

No Chicken Additives!

My shepherds seemed to be having a lot of skin issues. Hot spots, corn chip feet smell and also gland issues. I deduced it to a chicken allergy. It is nearly impossible

My shepherds seemed to be having a lot of skin issues. Hot spots, corn chip feet smell and also gland issues. I deduced it to a chicken allergy. It is nearly impossible to find a large breed dog food without chicken, chicken fat or chicken meal in the list of ingredients. I ordered this as a last ditch effort and I am so glad I did! Dogs fur is softer, they're both more active and happier! I'm relieved that both of them will eat this as my girl shepherd is super picky. Win/Win! On my Autoship list for good!

Dog doesn’t love it, but isn’t sick either

So we have a dog that has had many Gastro issues since we adopted her a year ago. We finally found Merrick dog food limited ingredient and she did well for about eight months and then she got extremely ill on the last bag we ordered. We believe it was because they changed their recipe or it was a bad batch. But anyhow we started on this Wholesomes sensitive skin and stomach large breed with Sam and proteins and at first she absolutely loved it but now she eats I think only when she’s super hungry because she doesn’t love it but the good thing is we’re not dealing with vomiting and diarrhea anymore either so for us, we like this product especially since there’s no Pea protein, which seems to be a big issue for dogs of the Belgian melanois and German Shepherd breed.

I dont often write reviews but I felt the change in my boy was worth this one. My GSD has suffered with GI upset nearly his entire one in a half years of life while we try out different foods with different proteins to find what works. We eventually spent the one hundred dollars for high quality food, and while it seemed to be better for him, his stools were still very inconsistent. This food is one third of the price, ten pounds more, and has worked wonders for him. His stools have been consistently normal, his coat is in better condition than even when on very expensive food, and he never smells anymore. We are so happy with this brand and want to thank Wholesomes!

Best food for my dogs

I have a Pyrenees mix that has the worst time with her skin and coat, she was chewing herself to the point of sores because of dry skin and even supplements weren't

I have a Pyrenees mix that has the worst time with her skin and coat, she was chewing herself to the point of sores because of dry skin and even supplements weren't helping, but this has worked wonders. I have 2 large dogs and 1 medium size dog, they all love this! Even the cats try and sneak bites of it from time to time. Everytime I open the container I am surprised at how much this actually smells like fish, so that is something for dog owners to keep in mind. I love the ingredients, love the price and the dogs gobble it down happily! Included are pictures of my dog, her skin was red and coat was patchy, a month on this food and her coat looks amazing with no more skin irritation!

Our vet recently recommended we change our 2 years old lab to “Parina Pro Plan” salmon, as she’s been experiencing allergy symptoms. I took the time to research more cost effective alternatives and found “Wholesomes”. She tolerated the change with zero issues and loves the taste. The food itself does have a strong fishy odor but it doesn’t make our pup smell of fish at all. It’s been almost three weeks since the change and currently seems less itchy. My vet did say it could take up to six months to see the full results of the change. I’m hopeful that food will work out. Both highly desirable to our fur baby and budget friendly.
