All of Weruva's wet food is formulated for adult maintenance and is a complete and balanced meal according to AAFCO standards. Weruva foods, cans & pouches, are soy, corn and wheat free. The focus of all their formulas is high quality meat, such as boneless, skinless white breast meat chicken and all of their wet foods are grain-free, with no GMOs, hormones, antibiotics, fillers or byproducts. They do not use bone or bone meal in our formulas.

Mixed Feelings

My cat is incredibly picky with her wet food so I was super excited that she loved this variety pack. She's loved all of the kinds but I was really scared to see

My cat is incredibly picky with her wet food so I was super excited that she loved this variety pack. She's loved all of the kinds but I was really scared to see one of the cans of Cuties Variety Pack had a full spine and rib bones that luckily she didn't eat! Chewy was great to give me a refund, but I'd be wary of the Kitty Gone Wild flavor. She loves the others so I will continue to buy except for the non-fish variety.

This review is ONLY for the kitties gone wild flavor. To begin, I have been a supporter of Weruva for a while. The benefit of BPA free and “human grade” meat was appealing to me. It’s worth noting, their factory is not in the USA but instead housed in Thailand, had to do some digging to figure that out. I contacted the company regarding what appears to be spine bones found in every can of kittens gone wild flavor. I find that unacceptable, especially for the cost. I thought maybe it was a mistake as I am unsure how this is not a choking hazard or a risk (the bones are fairly sharp.) I received the attached condescending email in return. I eat sardines, I don’t eat the head eyes and spine. I ALSO don’t expect that to be included in the cat of cat food, I’d be just as surprised to find bones in any other the other meat flavors. The response to blend the food further is also unprofessional in my opinion. I just wanted to make other cat owners aware, watch for bones in that flavor, save yourself the cost of vet bills. I have no complaints regarding the other flavors. Chewy prorated the cost of the case based on six cans, but it isn’t about the money, nor is it chewys fault.

I've done my reading of many articles about what cat foods on the market are best for true feline nutrition, and I knew they needed a good high-moisture wet canned food. Weruva is not only full of excellent real-food ingredients that are human grade (Its produced in facilities where our food comes from too) but also does not include many common harmful long term additives such as carrageenan, gluten, "meat byproducts" and others. I will feed less of cans containing some of the veggies like peas, but they can be healthy for cats in moderation. On top of all of this, my cats LOVE it. So much so, I'm confident buying in bulk. They're excited for meal time, its high protein so they are high energy, healthy weights and have healthy coats/skin. So far I have no complaints. Its middle-of-the-road price wise so I find it worth it. Especially using Chewy's autoship option, you save some money. The shipping boxes are always good for some fun too ;)

I've been feeding all 3 of my cats this wet food for dinner for years, thinking that it was high quality, grain free food. Which it is, and they LOVE all the flavors

I've been feeding all 3 of my cats this wet food for dinner for years, thinking that it was high quality, grain free food. Which it is, and they LOVE all the flavors and gobble it up. However, in doing recent research, I learned that plant oils are not metabolized in cats' bodies and this product contains sunflower seed oil. All of my cats have had differing GI issues over the last few months so I will probably be looking for a new food

I love the brand and have already rated the dog food as five stars. It is excellent quality food. My three dogs love the dog food version and have been using It now for three months, Best dog food on the market in my opinion (next to home-cooked meals.) However, I recently switched to the cat version of this brand and my two cats won’t eat it. I’ve tried all of their recipes and the cats will sniff and taste it and not eat it. I’ve had to use up all the cans I bought on the dogs. So I don’t understand what that’s about. I know it’s a good brand, but as far as the cat version goes, my cats don’t like it.

Still has bones

I saw reviews about the pink can of kitty gone wild containing bones. I bought these in at the end of 2024 and just got around to using them in January of 2025

I saw reviews about the pink can of kitty gone wild containing bones. I bought these in at the end of 2024 and just got around to using them in January of 2025. Here is a picture of my cats bowl after kitty gone wild. There are fish vertebrae in it. Yes, I know cats eat whole prey in the wild but I have safety concerns and thought this had been addressed by the company prior to my purchase. The other three flavors I have no safety concerns with.

To start, Weruva is a very high-quality brand with excellent food. I open a can of any of the four flavors and my cat comes running. Whenever I get this out, she acts like I haven't fed her for days. The moment I started giving her these she'd turn her nose up at her old Friskies. BUT, the thing is, I've gotten a few of these packs and maybe 1/12 cans of two separate shipments seem to be kinda caved in. It doesn't look like damage was sustained during shipping and the package it comes in is very sturdy so I have to wonder why it was like that. Maybe something during the manufacturing process just goes wrong once in a while and something happens while it's being sealed? I'm not sure. In any case, it's a little worrying since damaged cans can lead to contaminated food but the ones I received seem fine. I hope they can remedy this. Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of Weruva as it is wonderfully tasty (for my cat) and nutritionally balanced.

Gave my cats the worst diarrhea

I have been feeding this cat food to my cats for the past year and my cats and I loved this brand but recently they started to have horrible stomach problems from

I have been feeding this cat food to my cats for the past year and my cats and I loved this brand but recently they started to have horrible stomach problems from the it (blowing up the litter box and flinging poo onto the walls) which leaves me to believe that they may have changed the formula. They were also very lethargic, grumpy and often times refused to even eat the food. I switched to a new brand (Nulo) and that immediately solved the issue. I think the problem is that there are too many binders in this food and perhaps they added more to the recipe recently. I'm curious if other people are having this issue. It started about three weeks ago. I'm sad that I can no longer feed this to my cats, but Nulo is where it's at if you are looking to switch. My cats are so happy again and are bouncy off the walls with energy.

My 13 year old Mainecoon boy who had previously suffered from crystals and was put on a urinary tract special diet was loosing weight and his lust for life. I hated feeding that mostly by-product food! The dry smells like play dough, not cat food! My vet suggested that I try Weruva as she had a patient with urinary tract issues that was doing well with this food. Well, my Max is gaining weight, happy, hungry, active and thriving in just a few weeks. He’s a big boy and was down to 11 pounds from at least 15-16...he’s coming back to life! Yay. I highly recommend this high quality food.
