This variety contains approximately 0.90% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (2.23% on a dry matter basis).

This formula lists "natural flavor" in the ingredients. My cat has a chicken allergy. Does the natural flavor contain chicken in any form?

There is no animal protein in the natural flavoring. The natural flavor in Wellness recipes is a blend of non-animal based amino acids and minerals that are highly palatable for dogs and cats.

My cats are 6 years old and this is the only brand and flavor food they will eat, until the past year or so. The quality was always a bit spotty, but it has gone to ridiculous. Neither of them want to eat it, I am spending a small fortune reordering, hoping to get a better quality case. I feel so guilty giving this to them. And even worse, sometimes they try to eat a little and it makes them vomit. I recently purchased some trial cases of other foods hoping they are willing to try another. What the heck happened? You could see changes in the food over time, getting to what it is now, some brownish junky disgusting looking mess. Is it possible that whatever happened can be undone and go back to what it was several years ago? I am at wits end.

My 12 year old picky eater as well as our outdoor stray love both seafood varieties. My senior is on a diet and eats weight management dry food and a dollop of Wellness daily. We look forward to his next weigh in! I am concerned about the pictures of the bones. I haven’t spotted any so far but will now have to be extra diligent. The last thing any pet owner wants is a cat with a bone caught in their throat! I would prefer a food with better quality control. If I found bones like pictured I would stop feeding this. But for now they seem to love everything about this food. I will check for bones!

My cats have been eating Wellness Core tuna and salmon for years. But the quality of the product has gone decidedly downhill the last year or so. Lately, there has been a lot of pieces of skin, organ meat, and even bones in the cans. In addition, the cans used to contain 3oz, and now they only have 2.8ozs, while increasing the price! My cats no longer are excited to eat this food. In the past, they gobbled it up, but now they sometimes take a few bites and then leave the rest, Very disappointing. I'm going to have to find a different brand of cat food.

Cats don’t lie! Just 2 minutes, clear :) Smells good, looks good, I really like their cans quality, thick(never received any broken ones) when I pull out the food, no food left in the can (any kind of food should not be wasted) I guess that’s why it’s expensive. I’ve tried some different expensive cat food, not each one works out. But this one my cat just LOVE it so much. I don't blame on the price, it's worth it. After I took the picture they licked the plate even more cleaner :)

I typically do not write reviews but seeing other reviews with concerns recently feel I should speak up. I had been ordering this cat food for a long time and always found it to be a wet food my cat would eat, something changed. The consistency is goopy and I have found some small lumpy things and small bones left on the dish that it looks like my cat pushed aside and didn't eat. Although I cannot be sure it is related, my cat also started having some new gastrointestinal issues. When I first noticed the changes I was not sure it would be a health concern or make a significant difference but I am going to stop ordering the cases and am trying out other foods instead.

Something Changed

My Himalayan Persian cat has been eating this brand/flavor for more than a decade. It is the only wet food she will eat. The contents in the cans in the last shipment are like mush and so liquidy my cat won’t eat it any longer. I know companies want to cut costs, but we pet parents are paying a lot of money for expensive pet food that is being made cheaper risking the health of our pets. My cat hardly eats it and has been vomiting more than usual. At $72+ every month, I may have to look elsewhere for quality cat food. Unfortunately I have a shipment coming today, but may send back if it is full of mush.

Extremely picky cat will walk through fire for it

My cat has tried and turned her nose up at the following wet foods: Cat Person (both the paté and the flakey formulation, Fresh Pet, Stella & Chewy dehydrated freeze dried (Rabbit, Chicken, Fish, none of them she really liked), Smalls for Cats, Fancy Feast, Wellness Core Paté (this one actually made her throw up) Tiki Cat, and Blue Buffalo. She is OBSESSED with this food, specifically this Tuna & Wild Salmon one. She is so happy!!! In the two weeks she has been on this food she looks more trim, has completely stopped shedding, I’m literally vacuuming less, her teeth look better, and she just overall seems a happier. She gets soooo excited for this food!!! I’m hoping she continues to like it. She is 6 years old and I have continually tried different wet foods throughout her life to get her off kibble and on a wet food, as I know they are much better for your cat. It’s taken 6 years, but here we are. Try this food!

My cat is a fish and gravy girl. This food has been in her regular rotation of meals for about 4 years. The price has increased by a few dollars recently which limits how much of it I can purchase for her. Given the increase in cost, it would be helpful if the can would contain at least .2 more ounces of food (currently it contains 2.8 ounces/can). My cat usually needs at least 3 ounces of wet food for a meal and I've noticed that with this can, I often have to supplement by giving her other food to go with it because it's not quite enough. I appreciate the higher quality ingredients that Wellness provides. My cat has been eating Wellness wet and dry food since she was a kitten. I'm willing to pay a bit more for better sourced/higher quality food. But given the substantial increase in the cost, I unfortunately have to limit how much of this food I can purchase for her. She does enjoy this flavor though. Tuna seems to be her top favorite, but she gobbles up this salmon flavor too.

Something Has Changed & Made My Kitties Ill

My cats have enjoyed this Wellness flavor for 9 years, but something has been "off" lately in both seafood flavors. This past week, after feeding, the two who eat

My cats have enjoyed this Wellness flavor for 9 years, but something has been "off" lately in both seafood flavors. This past week, after feeding, the two who eat this brand/flavor were both so ill we had to take them to the vet for IV fluids and treatment. The other cat in our house eats a different brand and was fine. The vet determined it was likely this food. I'm heartsick, because they've loved this brand in the past, but the last case or two has been different -- more watery and the cats haven't been as excited about it. Others here (and on Reddit) have had similar experience recently. An expensive trip to the vet was the final deal-breaker; I'm dumping the remaining cans and will start to research an alternative. (Note: the beef/chicken flavor has been fine, my complaint is only with the seafood varieties of the Wellness Signature Select.)

My Munchkin is 16 1/2 and has some gum issues, so she has a hard time eating dry food. To make sure she eats enough, I give her canned food a couple of times daily, however, she’s getting picky. She seems to like this food over anything else, even when she’s in a “mood”. It’s nice because it’s super minced and has lots of gravy. Just what my old gal needs.
