Wellness Complete Health Pate Chicken Entree Natural Grain-Free Wet Cat Food, 12.5-oz can, case of 12

This is my cat’s favorite wet food, but out of 24 cans (I ordered 2 cases of 12.5oz cans), 13 arrived dented. Many of the dents were on the end seams and I could tell air had gotten into some of the cans by pressing on them. These are a health risk and need to be thrown out. Such a waste. I had to double check every single can to make sure the ones that looked safe were actually safe because some of the dents were barely noticeable, but after pressing on them, the surface of the cans would pop in and out, indicating air had gotten inside. After this experience, I wouldn’t order wet food from chewy again.

Java's quite picky and I've had problems with her in the past going into fatty liver failure when changing her food. She throws up most food with grain but was getting tired of her other brand of grain free food id been giving her for a year. I had tried one can of another flavor of Wellness last year and it was a no go. Fortunately I saw this on Chewy and took a chance and am SO glad I did! She absolutely loves this flavor and although it has only been a few days, she hasn't hurled (yay). She loved it so much, it was impossible for me to transition her slowly off of her old food, because now she despised her old food after tasting this and wouldn't eat it. Honestly the second day on this food made me wish I hadn't given to her because the transition made her unwell, tired and not eat at all. I thought id be looking at another adventure of force feeding or a large vet bill . But I just kept giving her little amounts of this food (and some Temptations) throughout the day and now on day three she's bouncing around like a new cat. I leave wet food overnight in her bowl and with her old food it would still be full in the morning so I would just throw it out. Today, the Wellness was licked clean and she happily ate her morning food too. When she eats it, she looks up at me like "I like this food Mom!" She's been running and playing like a kitten today (she's 9) so I had to leave a good review!

I buy the Wellness Chicken Formula and the Turkey Formula. My young shelter cat had almost constant diarrhea when I took him home from the shelter. Someone else had adopted this cat before I did and returned him after a couple of weeks because of chronic diarrhea. After 2 unsuccessful treatments and vet - recommended very expensive prescription dry foods over a month by two different vets, I made a decision on my own to switch him from dry foods to Wellness canned food. In 24 hours the diarrhea was completely gone. That was almost two years ago. No diarrhea since! I will never feed anything but Wellness canned (no grain) food again. It might cost a little more to feed a good quality NO GRAIN canned food but I think you will more than make that up in money saved on vet bills over the years. Thank goodness for Wellness.

Wish I could leave a separate review for the item vs delivery. Food: 5 stars- Great - all 3 cats love it. Delivery last 8-12mo: ZERO stars Whatever has changed in Chewy’s packing/delivery methods has caused the cans to arrive always dented. Not only does it ruin the cans - I have huge concerns on any that may have allowed bacterial growth. Sadly I have moved on from #Chewy to purchase this elsewhere.. & I can’t be the only one. Chewy please address this asap - no fur baby should get sick from this easily addressed issue. Until you do, you will continue to lose loyal customer -and money Including pic - some were dented worse than the ones pictured. Koda also photobombed to voice her disapproval.
