I followed the instructions & the house was relatively easy to set-up. The frame is sturdy & makes the perfect hide-a-way. My adult cats were curious at first but then easily took up residence inside & fell asleep. The roof is a good quality scratching surface but would probably be best for kittens & young cats. They would love it! Not sure if it's sturdy enough to endure adult cats using it to scratch because the overall house is mid to lightweight. However they do like the shelter it provides, the comfortable bedding inside & is the purrfect hiding place. I set it up in our living room so they have a place to comfortably rest but are still able to be sociable if they so desire.

This cute little house has plenty of appeal for cats who like tents and scratching posts. All of our kitties took an interest in it at different times. I didn’t think one kitty cared for it, but it has since slept in it several times. It has a comfortable removable pillow inside and drapes you can let down for full privacy. There are scratching surfaces on the roof panels as well as a mat in front of the entrance. Surprisingly, none of our kitties has tried to use them. It’s very light and easy to move around. Assembly was not easy and should be done with two people. The instructions were not very helpful. It does come with a screwdriver, but the screws are unnecessarily long and took a long time to tighten. Be sure to position the roof carefully, as it is affixed with little Velcro strips that are loosely stapled to the wooden frame.

This cat tent with scratching sides my cats seem to like. I think it would be great for a single cat or a smaller cat. I have a 2 year old main coon mix and he is on the larger side. My larger cat seems to like to lay inside and chill, but it doesn’t have any extra room to spare. My medium cat who is older seems curious about it, but hasn’t realized he can scratch the sides yet. I think they will both love it even more once they realize they can scratch it. It is really nice and sturdy. You can see it the pictures my younger bigger cat has claimed it. I would recommend this to someone with small to medium cats.

I think it's a hit! No sooner than I put this cat house together, two of my five were arguing about who had dibs! Fortunately, the 60-pound dog decided it was too small for him, without actually trying to get in (we've had problems with this in the past). Assembly was easy, and although the instructions felt like they were written by someone who doesn't speak English, they were easy to understand (good pictures). And there was even a little screwdriver included! The velcro that holds the cover to the frame is more secure than I had anticipated. So far, I'm very happy with this!
