Owning 9 guinea pigs gets expensive so want to be able to buy a "Fun" quality food that's not overly priced. This is the perfect brand as it offers a great smell, multiple textures and interesting extra bits that my Piggies love (with the exception of one piggy who eats just the pellets and leaves all the treats)..but there is never any waste as the others just get extra! I have been feeding this brand for as long as I can remember..never any worries or problems. A big plus is that the pellets hold their shape well and doesn't turn to dust that lower end brands do.

After trying all of the Oxbow and several other main brand Guinea Pig foods in Pellet form, this is the one my two girls seem to enjoy eating the most. Simple as that. I hope it is a good food and believe that Vitakraft has done their homework and imbewed this product with all the necessary vitamins and minerals that Guinea Pigs need, but of course one should also make sure there is always a fresh and plentiful supply of hay available for thier digestion along with a daily serving of fresh veggies and fruits. People often think that owning a pair of Guinea Pigs is simple, but they actually are a lot of work and do take up a good deal of time. While you do not have to take them for walks or listen to barking, they still demand daily attention and should be carefully considered before hopefully adopting over buying a pair. Back in the 80s when I had a single Cavy I simply did not know it was wrong to keep them singly and I relied solely on pellet food and kept mine in an aquarium. Terrible I know now. Sorry about this venting, but I believe too many people buy them at Pet stores without first learning how to properly care for them as I did way back 40 years ago. They deserve the proper care of any pet, so yeah I endorse this product as my two girls seem to prefer it over other types of Cavy food.

My guinea pigs love this stuff. I tried to buy food pellets that were only made with timothy hay and they refused to eat it. They are eager in the morning to have this each day. They do eat all of the miscellaneous items and leave the pellets in the bowl until the very end. They'll eat it all if they get hungry enough but definitely take their time. Who knew the pigs could be so picky.

Harry and Rusty love this food. This is their absolute favorite. They will pick for hours. I've tried others but this is definitely the most nutritious and satisfying for my pigs.
