So I have 5 danes. I’ve tried and tried so many foods. My one male has always had sensitive stomach issues. Diarrhea was a daily thing. Loose stools were a constant. I found a beef based diet worked best for all my dogs but he still struggled. He is 1.5 and I finally decided to give Victor a try and expected same issues. I’ve done the pumpkin thing etc. I had no real expectations but WOW! One day in it seemed more formed. By day 3 he was pooping less and it was firmer and formed a bit. One week and it’s super solid and no runs. All the other dogs are doing fabulous on it and even their stools are firmer than ever. I pray they never change the ingredients or formula because I’ve hit a home run on this one. Anyone who has Danes know that finding a food that solidifies stools is hard. Try it. Wish I had years ago.

Victor is Hands Down the Best!!

You name it, I have tried it. Feeding 4 dogs of various sizes all the big name brands, including the super pricey. This one is by far the best. Our Boxer Mix is Queen Diva Finicky. Going days at a time without eating. Not to mention a super sensitive digestive tract (think swamp mud mush and gas that will gag you from 10 ft away). After 3 months on this she is doing dramatically better. Bonus seems to have cleared up our other 2 dogs allergies (to chicken?) Chicken is in everything dog food related nowadays. AND no potatoes or peas or chickpeas (which I highly questioned anything with beans being a normal thing to feed to any dog!) Victor is the only brand I have found that contains Selenium Yeast and Montmorillonite which help with digestion. I plan to rotational feed between the Beef, Salmon and Lamb in the Select Line. Finally found the brand we are sticking with!

I don’t often leave reviews on products but my boys happy tummy is worth all the praise to Victors. I had my Great Dane on large breed puppy formula from another brand before and had nothing but issues with soft stool and upset stomach. I did a ton of research and found high protein puppy food isn’t the best for Dane puppies. I transitioned him to victors just over a month ago and saw improvements so quickly. He gets excited to eat and no more issues with his stool. My one recommendation for other big breed owners is that the serving sizes recommended on the box do not work for my big guy he is 5 months and seems to need closer to 7-7 1/2 cups a day. I’d say he’s a nice healthy weight right now. The only thing I wish this food had was glucosamine and chondroitin for his joints but I’m happy to supplement if it means he’s getting the nutrients he needs in all other areas.

Excellent, Filling, and Energetic

I was recommended this brand years ago from a mutual friend when I adopted Ladybug. I have been feeding her Victor dog food since 2017 and it's really been great. She has a slow metabolism, but this food helps keep her fuller longer so she doesn't beg as much for scraps. She's also very much a couch potato despite my best efforts, but I can tell a difference in her energy levels when I feed her Victor vs another temporary brand. Victor helps keep her energy up. I even mix it with some water and broth and she goes crazy for it. I know it's kind of pricey, and this is coming from someone who's disabled and on a very limited income, but the way my girl loves it makes it worth every penny

I've tried just about every brand of dog food for my two Great Danes. They are not particularly picky, but I am. I need to make sure they have correct ratios of protein, calcium and phosphorous. Plus, I will not feed anything with corn or chicken by products or animal digest. Sadly, I lost my job last summer and my budget became very, very tight. In the meantime, my youngest Dane developed a chicken allergy. I did not want to compromise on the quality food my dogs were getting and I needed something chicken and corn free, so I researched Chewy.com autoship and victor beef. I've been using it about 4 months now and the dogs coats are shiny and they are eating well and happy. Very happy with good quality and good price

My boxer has a sensitive stomach and has only done well on grain free food. I experimented in the past with with grains, because it is less exspensive and I wanted to to provide my dog with a variety of foods inhis diet. Each time my dog ate foods with grains, he would have some sort of reaction such as dandruff, dry itchy skin, diarrhea, or chapped paws. I’ve been holding off on giving him grains for about a year, bc of his reactions . Since he has always done so well on Victor grain free dog food and it is such a high quality food at a low cost, I decided to give their brand of grain food a try. He hasn’t had any problems on this food and his stool still remains solid and his coat looks wonderful. I’m so glad I found a grain food to alternate with. I am a huge fan of Victor!

Was Good until...

I purchased a small bag at first to see if my dogs liked it. My very picky male GSD actually did. He started eating it without me having to mix it with chicken

I purchased a small bag at first to see if my dogs liked it. My very picky male GSD actually did. He started eating it without me having to mix it with chicken. My female GSD ate it but was like whatever about it. The kibble was a lil bit bigger/wider. More like a flat circle then round. Which was different from the ither dog food that I was switching from, which was ok. Seeing that they were actually eating it I decided to purchasr the bigger bag. When I got it everything was the same, no issues, Until now. We are half way done with the bag and I noticed that the kibble is different, it looks like the Merrick kibble shape that we were giving our dogs before. I also noticed that my GSDs dont care for it anymore and I have to mix it with chicken. I dont understand what happened, why did the kibble size change? Is this only happening with the bigger bags? My very picky GSD would gobble it up when it was the other size, now he just looks at it and walks away. Was a different type of kibble put in the bag and half way through the company realized oh crap we put in the wring food and then filled it up with the correct one....i dont know. Can someone explain this to me.

My dogs have never looked better

I have 6 dogs that we show in various dog sports all over the country. They were raw fed until I became pregnant and my husband requested they be switched to kibble

I have 6 dogs that we show in various dog sports all over the country. They were raw fed until I became pregnant and my husband requested they be switched to kibble because it was easier for him. We found Victor and decided to try it because of the price. One 40 pound bag lasts our 6 large dogs two weeks-- longer than any other brand we've tried. Also, our dogs coats look better than they did on raw to the point I have been stopped numerous times to ask what they are fed. I have since had my baby but we are so satisfied we have left our dogs on Victor and recommend it to our clients/puppy buyers as well. The money we save per month is great and we've been able to enter more shows (which the dogs love)!

I started feeding my dogs Victor about a year ago. My 4 year old (at the time) mixed breed dog, Otis, was having some real issues with dry, itchy skin that was obviously causing him some degree of discomfort. After switching to Victor, both my dogs coats became shinier and the skin irritation was completely relieved within just over a week of changing food. I've got big dogs with big appetites. Victor is a high quality dog food at a very reasonable price. Most importantly, over a year has gone by and the dogs still get so excited at meal time that they spin and frantically wag in anticipation. Would highly recommend.
