We have an active four year old Minpin Beagle mix and a very active ten month old Labrador retriever! The Minpin was getting quite wide on her old food so we switched her to Victor's Active dog and puppy food when we got the new pup. Their coats shine, they have tons of energy, and they are both lean beautiful babies now! Victors along with their organic carrots and green bean snacks and our girls are in heaven. We recently moved from Arizona to New Hampshire and the closest store to carry our Victor's was 163 miles away. I called the manufacturer and she recommended Chewy.com. I am so glad she did. We are on auto fill and our pups will never run out of their favorite food. And, shipping was free and it arrived in just two days! Thanks, Chewy.com The Shoffners

My corgi puppy 6 months old had loose stool with Wellness Small Breed Puppy, Orijen; she didnt like Acana & Zignature due to the huge kibble. While she was doing good with Fromm Puppy Gold, Nurtrisource but got bore easily so I've been stressed to find a new good food for her. Glad that I found Victor, the kibble is small enough yet not tiny which is suitable for dogs of all ages. My puppy loves it instantly and is healthy with this food, no diarrhea or itchiness. *FYI this food is grain free, contains 410 kcal/cup and the bag doesnt have zip seal.

We have a picky 7 month old active pup. We have tried a bunch of different brands (Racheal Ray, Purina One Pro Plan, Redford) and our pup would be excited the first couple of days, then wouldn't touch it, but not with this food! Our pup has been on Victor for 3 weeks and tears up his food everyday! It makes his poop a little dark because of the high protein content but that was expected. His fur is shiny and soft and he has sooo much energy! The fact that we don't have to mix anything in for him to want it is very comforting! Will definitely be sticking with Victor! ... Only down side would be the lack of fruit, but we simply give it to him ourselves.

Sudden change in pupper's eating habits.

Our boxer pup had been on Victor Active Dog and Puppy since he came to us, and it had always treated him well. He will be 2 in February 2026. He would devour anything we put in his bowl. We received a bag about 8 months ago and he suddenly did not have any interest in eating it unless it was mixed with chicken and rice or beef and rice - too much of the kibble in his bowl and he would leave it without touching it. No matter how long we left it in his bowl, he would never eat it. He also started having diarrhea and random vomiting episodes. We switched him to home cooked food and various fresh food logs since that was the only food he would eat, but he didn't even want to touch either of those options after awhile. The random vomiting and inconsistent stool continued, and the lack of appetite was bad enough that for awhile we were hand feeding him to keep his calorie count level. We had taken him to the vet after about a month of struggling appetite. The vet said he appeared healthy - some inflammation in his intestinal tract, but otherwise nothing turned up in the tests. I started quite a few different supplements for health and to firm up his stool, had him on various natural appetite enhancers, and even at one point had to give him prescription appetite enhancers on several days to get him to eat. Fortunately, through a lot of effort, we kept him in good condition. We originally put him on an antibiotic since it was suspected that he had some sort of intestinal infection. The first round helped marginally, if at all. We continued supplementation and after dealing with the general lack of appetite for about 6 months, we took him back to the vet and had x-rays done again and various tests from the blood draw. Everything came back fine, but we put him on another antibiotic and this round seems to have helped - or it was the culmination of everything we were doing for him that finally turned things around. We are still not back to his original baseline, but he is at least eating from his bowl consistently. We have him on a combination of fresh food logs, boiled chicken/ground beef/liver, and minimally processed food clusters (hint). He still won't touch the Victor kibble, not that I would give it to him now, but I tried a few pieces a couple of days ago and he sniffed them and walked away. The weird thing is his disposition never really changed. There were a few days here and there where he was a little lethargic, but overall he acted like everything was fine but he didn't want to eat, and his stool would bounce back and forth from runny/soft to solid with no rhyme or reason as to why. Now, whether the Victor was the primary cause, I do not know, I am simply telling our story in case anyone else has had the same issue and is feeding this food. I originally chose Victor because the ingredient profile is good and it appears to be a solid option without being crazy expensive. What we are feeding now is A LOT more expensive, but he is eating without a great amount of coaxing and to me that is more important than the extra expense. Fortunately, we can afford the additional cost - if we could not I am not sure what we would have done. If your furry family member does well on it, great, I am glad! Our boy does not do well on it anymore.

Rescued my Golden Retriever 6 years ago, started her on Castor and Pollock's food, with good results, they changed recipe so went to Blue, then found Victor (recommended by my daughter) and will never look back, Bella is so healthy and happy and just full of energy, more so now at 9 years of age than she was at 6, I can't say enough good things about it. Glad I found Chewy.com, used to drive 30 miles one way to get it, now just open the box when it get here. Thank you Chewy and Victor

I have a Great Dane puppy. She was eating a grain food when I brought her own and I was given the 40lb bag to finish off. I noticed when she was idle, she would roll on her back and chew on her paws. Someone told me to switch to a grain free and she would stop that habit - surely enough - I switched to Victor grain-free and she doesn’t do it anymore, her coat is silky blue, and she loves the flavor!!!! My girl is always a part of the clean-plate club!!!!

Whew, where do I even start? My pup is around 6 months old now and we've been feeding him Victor for about a month. I wanted to wait to write a review until we had enough time go by. Previous to this, his poops were NASTY. Like....soft serve in the summer sun nasty. And the gas and the smell...I'll save y'all the horror. This is my first dog, so at first I didn't realize that it was the old food that was doing it! I thought maybe it was the treats I was giving him, or maybe he was just stressed or something. Definitely the old kibble-with-raw-chunks. Whoever says all dogs should be on a raw diet is just plain wrong. The minute we switched to this kibble, my boy's entire schedule changed. His poops are nice and solid, he goes about 3 times a day and right on time, which is nice for us. He seems less bloated and grumpy, with more energy (not so nice for us lol). I can't recommend this food enough! I did all of the research and I'm glad I settled on this one. The Victor crunchy treats are great, too! Thanks, Victor!

My two pups (GSD & American bully) love this food. We tried everything from purina pro plan, science diet, wellness core and Acana and they gave the dogs loose stool. We finally switched to Victor and their stools were finally solid. It keeps them full and their coats are super shiny and healthy. 100% recommend this food!
