We were feeding a different brand to my 1 year old Doberman but he was getting hives and soft stools. Turns out he's allergic to peas, rice, salmon, and lamb. This kibble doesn't contain any of that so it works out well for him. He's had solid poops since being on this kibble. I also love that this is available in a 50 lb bag and doesn't fully break the bank considering that my dog requires a lot of food for his size and activity. The only thing I would note is that my dog's poop is a little stinky since being on this kibble. Also don't be alarmed for dark-colored poop because this kibble is dark brown, almost black, in color.

My girl Gemma has always had skin issues. We have tried a couple different foods for her. All of them have been grain free. Before my husband and I moved to Texas in December we took her to the vet because she was constantly shedding, had HORRIBLE dandruff, it was just bad. He gave us some mess for her, and I'm sure they helped but I really started to notice a difference when we switched her to this food. I was worried she'd have a reaction because this food isn't grain free, but there were no issues whatsoever. Used to be when I would brush her, A LOT of fur would come off all the time. I thought it was normal. Since being on this food, her dandruff has cleared up, her fur is very soft, and now when I brush her gobs of hair don't come off. Also, her poops are normal and healthy. I will be sticking to this food for sure. I know every dog is different, but I definitely recommend giving this a try if your dog has dealt with any of these issues.

VICTOR Professional Formula is one of the best dog foods to help with sensitive stomach dogs. Our pup used to have diarrhea, no matter which food we tried and no matter how slowly we transitioned the food. Victor gave our pup a MUCH SMALL and VERY SOLID POOP. He also gained weight as we believe the food absorbs well, so much smaller and more solid poop and he gained the correct standard weight each month. We also recommended VICTOR Professional to 4 other people and the results were the same. Sometimes... our pup ate other things like leaves or grass which caused soft poop and sometimes explosive diarrhea so we just gave his stomach a rest (no food) for 12-24 hours depending on how bad it was. We then fed him 1/3 of his food each meal 3 times a day and then his poop was back to being small and solid again. The next day we fed him as usual (2 times a day). Another major benefit is that our dog poop had NO SMELL. PS: We love Chewy for exceptional service and extremely fast delivery.

Been feeding Victor Performance - which my two labs love, and wanted to vary their food instead of staying with one type of food for long. Also not giving Grain Free of any type due to some dogs getting enlarged heart. Professional is 88% protein from meat sources - beef, also taurine is included. The dogs eat it quickly, no problems and have hard stools. My one dog was having anal gland trouble, but this food with added pumpkin fiber fixed that problem. Dogs have tremendous energy and shiny coats. I will switch to Performance since it has glucosamine and I have large dogs which helps their joints. Victor products have always been top notch, personally I’m staying away from any grain free food.

I have two senior pups that don’t act even close to their age. I tried a bag of Victor and love what i am seeing. The transition was easy, and their tummies have been more regular than they were on the previous food. I have noticed improvements in their stamina as well. When taking walks, they want to continue past our normal route. Since they are 11 & 12 I was pleasantly surprised with the new vigor. Even with their age, they have never completely slowed down so I am not interested in a senior/low calorie formula, and this food has been wonderful for us. I am also seeing an improvement in skin and coat, with their fur looking incredibly shiny and feeling so soft! So far very excited with the food and can’t wait to see how they do long term.

My veterinarian wanted some kind of grain and I’m happy with the ingredient list. Very strange my review can’t use the proper word for a female dog because it’s considered a swear word. For heavens sake.

Okay so we started our golden retriever male on Victor performance last year which I was impressed with vs Blue which gave our boy frequent loose stools. Victor performance blend was the opposite. I think our boy is simply not active enough for the performance formula, his poops were hard and seemed forced. We swapped to this and now he has text book poops daily! I mean, perfect shape, texture and everything else. Not to mention how SOFT his fur is. Very shiny and soft coats for both dogs on this. Our female is younger and very picky but she is loving this as we just swapped her onto it. She licks her bowl and her brothers when they’re done! Four paws up so far.

Victor Professional is the only one that consistently never gives the dogs any digestive issues. It reliably helps the fosters, who sometimes come in with digestive issues and loose stool have nice solid poops. Every foster on Victor Professional has quickly come to a healthy weight and their coats shine up beautifully. I realize their are better quality kibbles if you can afford $100+ for a 40 lb bag of dog food, but this one is a solid choice if you can't!

My dogs do better on Victor than they have on any other food I've ever used! I have two german shepherds, and I have tried numerous other brands of foods for them, "high end grain free" foods included. My 2 year old shepherd has a hard time keeping weight on, and with grain free foods he gets itchy. I've (carefully and slowly) switched between Victor and a couple other different foods just to test the waters and Victor has come out on top, his coat is soft and shiny, he isn't itchy, his poop is normal, he isn't losing weight, or getting fat. I will never bother trying to switch to a "better" food again, Victor is obviously already the better food! On top of all of that, compared to most of the brands advertised as the "best, high, top quality" especially the grain free versions, Victor is very affordable.
