I adopted a four year old cat here in early 2025 and then a few weeks ago in September, he began to do this horrible hacking noise. I was about to take him to the vet for the third time this year, when he also began to look like he might vomit. That's when I figured the poor cat had a hairball. So, online I searched for help and found these tablets. I only give him one tablet right before feeding him dinner. I will admot, I also picked back up with giving him a probiotic powder that I'd been slacking on and at the same time I got these tablets, I got some omega-3 oil, too. But, I feel that these tablets are what truly made a difference. He stopped hacking about three days after I gave them to him, but never coughed it up, so I guess he pooped it out, lol. Thank you, sweetie, for not making me have to clean up a mess! I still continue though to give him a tablet a day and brush him even more frequently so that when he grooms himself, he's not ingesting so much hair.

3 out of 4 cats recommend!

Bought this for my long haired cat and while he’s not the biggest fan of the tablets, he has no problem eating them if I break it apart and sprinkle on his food

Bought this for my long haired cat and while he’s not the biggest fan of the tablets, he has no problem eating them if I break it apart and sprinkle on his food (life hack if you have to do this, break up the pills in a weekly pill box so you can just dump the daily dose on their food and know if you’ve given it to them). It’s caused a SIGNIFICANT decrease in hairballs, thank god, since he refuses to ingest any kind of hairball gel. Now my other three cats are absolutely obsessed with the tablets and will just eat them like a treat. One of my little criminals literally punctured the thick plastic container trying to get them - I now give my three shorthairs one tablet and my long hair 2 tablets.

I thought I would have to crush it and mix it with his food. He LOVES it and eats it like a treat right out of my hand. He prefers it over canned cat food or any dry food. I thought I would need stitches and the ICU after forcing him to eat it. What a pleasure to give this to my cat.

Kitty Addiction

I have a fluffy Calico who has mastered the art of creating hairballs. I have tried changing her food, giving her liquid serums in her water, gel paste on her tongue

I have a fluffy Calico who has mastered the art of creating hairballs. I have tried changing her food, giving her liquid serums in her water, gel paste on her tongue and other supplements, but no other supplement has worked like this one. She rejected most of them and I have often had to trick her into taking them. Not only does Vet's Best Hairball Relief Digestive Aid work, my cat goes crazy for them. The moment I get the bottle out she is at my feet, pawing my legs. I have to remind her that it is medicine and not a treat (not that she knows what I am saying). The pills are easy to break up by hand as well which is helpful when you have a 19 year old cat. (Sidenote: I am in no way affiliated with this company. I am just naturally cheesy and a huge animal lover who tries to do her best to take care of her fur babies). Cats are going to have hairballs, it's a fact of life, but these supplements have largely cut down the amount and frequency. If you have hairball issues with your cat(s), I recommend trying these.

This product does not disclose chicken or poultry ingredients on the label. I only learned of the chicken content after contacting the manufacturer directly. My cat has a chicken sensitivity, and this incomplete labeling is misleading and unsafe for allergy pets!

Resolved My Cats Problems With Swiftness

While my cat does have hairball issues, I was able to get it contained and find the problem before receiving this in the mail. HOWEVER, he was having a case of constipation

While my cat does have hairball issues, I was able to get it contained and find the problem before receiving this in the mail. HOWEVER, he was having a case of constipation. I was searching through my cat supplies to try and find something to help ease him and help it pass. I saw that this product has psyllium husk and gave it a go. One tablet with each meal, a total of two tablets before getting the results I needed. I will probably continue to give him at least one of these tablets a day to keep everything consistent because the result was fantastic!

I have 9 foster cats and 10 permanent cats. All are inside cats. We often get hairballs vomited by a mystery cat so we end of treating all of them just to be sure. They will NOT eat hairball gels of any brand. I put it on their paws and they just look at me in horror and shake it off. They all like these tablets very much! I have a line of them waiting for me to pass out the treats! We are all happy that I won't be forcing gel on them anymore. They are a little pricey but they work and the cats actually eat them!

Definitely dislodged a huge hairball!

My 15 yr old was having constipation problems yet after each feline enema she would stop up again in two days, she, nor my other two cats have never had many hairballs

My 15 yr old was having constipation problems yet after each feline enema she would stop up again in two days, she, nor my other two cats have never had many hairballs as they get brushed every day, yet amazingly, after two days on these she coughed up a huge, like 3" tight dry hairball and finally after that, a normal bowel movement without enema! I saw a lot of people mention the pills were hard, they must have changed the formula, I easily broke in half with my fingers and I have arthritis, but they didn't like them so I use my mortar and pestle take like 3 seconds at most. Mixed with a little wet food and free range chicken broth they gobble it up!

Disappointment

I bought this product for my cat to help her during hairball season, but it ended up upsetting her health. The first time I tried giving it to her was at the beginning of February. I crushed it into her food. She was fine for the first two days, but on the third day she refused to eat it and didn’t seem well, she looked tired, didn’t want to play, and was just sleeping. So I stopped giving it to her. In March, she vomited a hairball, so I decided to try the product again. I crushed it into her food, and she ate it, but after about 30-45 minutes she vomited and started having diarrhea. She continued vomiting and having diarrhea throughout the night. For the next two days, she was only drinking water. Whenever she tried to eat, she would vomit and the diarrhea would return. I had to switch her to a bland diet and give her a probiotic (S. boulardii + FOS powder) to help her recover.
