Both formulas have the same levels of Glucosamine and MSM. The VetriScience GlycoFlex Plus Joint Support Bite-Sized Dog Chews have added Chondroitin for pets who may benefit more from it.

Both products are proven a 41% increase in hind leg strength in just 4 weeks, but the VetriScience GlycoFlex Stage III is geared more towards seniors. VetriScience GlycoFlex Stage III is also recommended for dogs with a maximum need for joint and connective tissue support, joint and connective tissue support, geriatric and working dogs as well as to support normal recovery after orthopedic surgery.

is there a shelf life for opened and.or unopened packages of Glycoflex III

The expiration date is located next to the lot number on all of VetriScience's products. On the bags, it will be on the back and looks like it came from a dot matrix printer. The lot number is 8 digits long, then a space, then 4 more digits indicating month and year.

My 12+ year old mutt, Darcy, has been on this product for about 6 years now. She had no specific problems, but I had some on hand for her sister, and when she passed, thought I would continue giving them to Darcy. She eats the treats without any complaints and is able to run, jump and pretty much do anything she wants. The vet said she has some mild arthritis in her back, so I think these help to keep problems at a minimum. She is a trim 36 pounds, that helps too! Her new sister, a chunkier 44 lb mix of beagle, corgi and lab, has also been taking this for about 2 years now. The vet said a couple years ago Emmie has hip dysplasia, but Em doesn't seem to know that. She likes to go running with me, loves to run at the park and does the little dancing doggy thing for her treats (her idea, not mine). My only complaint with this product is there is a very pronounced and yucky smell lately. It never smelled bad before. But the dogs don't mind, maybe it enhances the flavor for them.

We started using these with our older, arthritic dog several years ago. She's gone now, but I think they may have helped take the edge off a bit of her pain. It's so hard to tell if a suppliment like this is working because the change is so gradual. Asisde from the price point for my large dogs, I still believe they provide some value, if only to make me feel like I'm helping to provide some relief from the pain. In that way, I guess they help me as much as my dog. Vet recommended.

My dog Roxy is an 8 year old cattle dog mix who LOVES to jump and run and play with soccer balls. We have played with soccer balls multiple times a day for most of her life, but over the last year or so the vet told me she had developed arthritis in a couple of joints and she would sometimes limp a little after a long play session with the ball. I tried giving her fish oil and a joint supplement from an orange container (dont want to name shame) for months but it didn't really help and her limping was getting worse, it was almost daily now. I did some research and came across this brand "Glycoflex 3 extra strength" and decided to give it a try. Within just a couple of weeks of being on it, she didn't limp after a play session anymore! She is usually a very picky eater but she will eat these with no issues and thinks they are a treat. I feel so much better playing with her knowing that she won't be in pain afterwards! These are well worth the money and have made such a positive impact on my dog's life.

My elder miniature schnauzer Cicero will be 15 in December and I'm sure he's developed some arthritis. What dog of that age wouldn't? He tries hard to keep up with his baby brother, 1-1/2 year old Apollo. For the past year we've been giving him Dasuquin, which had a noticeable effect immediately as he began to hop a few running steps trying to catch up to a thrown toy in our yard. As our supply was running low, I decided to try the Glycoflex Stage III - just one chew per day based on his weight of about 17 lbs. The chews are soft, shaped like a small dog bone, and too much for him to handle all in one piece, even though all his teeth are intact. But they're very easy to break cleanly into four smaller bite-sizes for him. We now see noticeably more energy in his ability to run. He still hops like a bunny, but faster and longer, so I think there's really something good going on here. Hoping for long-term results. Also, with 120 chews providing more joint support than the package of 84 Dasuquin, it's also a much better value.

Our rottie was diagnosed with joint dysplagia at 2 years. We always wondered when her limbs would no longer support her as she grew over 100lbs. Because of that, she has been on EVERY supplement for joints that I could get my hands on. I've tried everything on the market to give her more pain-free days. She went over a year without being able to go on walks. Her favorite thing in the world is swimming, so I felt that I owed it to her to just keep trying. About 3 months ago, I bought Glycoflex...moreso for my younger, frisbee catching bulldog. Surprisingly, we have our Rottweiler back! My husband and I cannot believe how transformed Susie is. Her back end no longer shakes when she stands still. She can walk a mile and not lag behind. And she seems REALLY happy! She even jumped up on the bed and is seeking out being petted. It has been years since we have seen her like this. So grateful for this product. She will be on it the rest of her life! XOXO

I got these for our 75lb Old English Sheepdog/Boxer mix. He's 10 years old and is starting to get a bit arthritic but he still loves to go on walks and runs with us. He's been running his whole life and I knew that running would start to become more difficult for him. We wanted to start him on these to help him maintain his current strength and mobility. He's been on this supplement for about 4 months. So far we haven't noticed any changes in his mobility but he's still very active and strong for a senior dog. He has become a bit more playful with our younger dogs since being on this supplement. So I do think this is helping him maintain his energy, mobility and strength. The chews are very smelly which is why I gave 4 stars. Personally I hate the smell. Seriously can't stand the smell when I open the bag but our boy loves these chews! The directions for use are simple to follow and they do recommend that you give more chews per day for 4-6 weeks when you initially start giving these, which can get kind of pricey when you have a large dog and need to give 4 or more a day. Now that he's over the initial period our boy gets two chews a day. We just toss a chew in his bowl at mealtime and he scarfs it down.

I’ve been giving this joint product to my old rescue dogs when I adopted them at 9 and 10 years of age. They are larger dogs, 55 and 90 lbs, and they are both 15+

I’ve been giving this joint product to my old rescue dogs when I adopted them at 9 and 10 years of age. They are larger dogs, 55 and 90 lbs, and they are both 15+ years old! They definitely have arthritis and cannot jump into the car but still can go for short walks and navigate stairs. They definitely have quality of life in their very senior years!

My Dog loves these and she's definitely feeling better.

My 8-yr old border collie mix has hip problems that have started slowing her down. I give her Adaquan every month but my Vet suggested I add in a daily supplement and recommended these. GlycoFlex Stage III Ultimate Strength Joint Support are just the ticket! She loves them, thinks they are a treat so we do some training, she gets her "treat" and feels better. What could be easier than that? I highly recommend for picky eaters like my dog. These are soft and she really loves the taste, unlike some others we've tried in the past.

Darius has what our vet thinks is a slipped disc, and it's significantly slowed him down over the years. He wasn't enjoying our walks, his hind end would skid out sometimes... He was just getting to be an old dude. We had him on Rx meds but they're terrible for his liver and kidneys. So we thought we'd try these. I have had great luck with VetriScience in the past, so I went for it. First, he LOVES these. Next, his interest in walks improved almost immediately. He can walk for longer and seems happier about it too. The chews are big, like the size of small milkbones, but he's 50# so they're perfect for him.
