An absolute game changer!

I have a 4-year-old Maine Coon with a sensory processing disorder. My big boy, Barnum, has trouble processing textures and noises. He's the only Maine Coon in America who HATES to be brushed no matter the brush or comb used. (We have 12.) Everyday noises - the doorbell, microwave alarm, TV volume - completely unhinge him and send him running for his life. Prozac helped to some degree, but it also flattened him emotionally and didn’t fully address the sensory overload. Since adding Zylkene alongside a reduced Prozac dose, the change has been remarkable. Barnum is calmer (no longer flinching when the duct work in the attic pops or the freezer drops ice), more social, and genuinely enjoying life again. He seeks affection, engages in play, and even participates in brush sessions willingly (with freeze dried chicken incentives!). The difference is subtle but profound - his nervous system feels soothed, not sedated. I give him 1 capsule every morning and a half at night. Any owner of a cat with anxiety or sensory issue should try Zylkene. Worth every penny!

I had high hopes for this after reading the reviews, but sadly I didn’t notice any difference. I was able to get my two boys to eat it by mixing it into a Churu wet treat. I tried it for several days, but after seeing no change in the bullying behavior, I stopped giving it to them and decided to do more research. For background, I have eight indoor only cats: three boys and five girls. Only two of the boys are bullies, and they have specific victims they go after when they’re feeling spunky. We haven’t had any serious injuries, just a lot of chasing through the house and some “skibbity smacks.” All of my cats are rescues, and I raised them all. I have plenty of 6ft cat trees, a One Fast Cat wheel, all the newest cat toys, water fountains, automatic food dispensers, and litter boxes in several rooms. There are window perches and wall climbers too. I’ve given my babies everything. I just want them to feel safe and loved, so when my two little guys start acting up, I feel terrible. My next step will be a vet visit, and I’m hoping they can help. Rehoming is not an option. These are my children.

FIC cat with OCD/anxiety

Our five year old cat, Franklin, was diagnosed with idiopathic FIC last fall. He's had two flare ups in the last year, and this second one lasted well over a month. We were working closely with our vet (doing environmental mods, switching up foods, using a daily low dose of gabapentin, etc) and nothing was kicking his symptoms. We know that a lot of his issues come from stress caused by our overly aggressive 3 year old cat, Oliver. Oliver will block and play a little too rough for Franklins' liking. We started giving Franklin the Zyklene and almost immediately noticed a few things. One, his OCD tendencies eased a little...he was no longer chained to his box (he had been lying in his litter box for hours a day because of his discomfort and the gabapentin wasn't helping with that symptom), he also wanted to be in the room where the rest of the family was even though Oliver was there as well. It's been two weeks on the Zyklene now and we see it as something we may give him indefinitely as long as it's working. His anxiety is down, he's more social, more talkative, more playful. His flare up has subsided and he's back to a normal relationship with the litter box. We've also since started giving Oliver a smaller dose (he's a smaller cat and the only thing we really wanted to treat on him was the aggression so we didn't feel he needed a full capsule). We use a 1/64 tsp serving for Oliver and give the rest of the capsules' worth of powder to Franklin (he's a 20lb male tuxedo for reference). Oliver's aggression has also subsided and the two of them are having more friendly interactions, less fights and less hissing. I was VERY hesitant about trying this because I, too, thought "why on earth would milk protein fix this?" but....it's working. It is expensive, but I also feel like it's one of the easiest supplements we've given to our cats. You just open the pill, put some in the wet food and they eat it right up. I hope this helps anyone who has a cat with severe anxiety/ocd or FIC/FLUTD issues. Those of us with special needs cats like this need all the help we can get!

My kitty was an adult stray. We are currently transitioning from the street life to the home life. While I’m learning so much about boundaries the fact remains that I’d love to be able to cuddle my fur friend without his being mean/grumpy due to his uncertainty. I am willing to work on our kinship but I could not put off the vet visit any longer. I started “drugging” my new friend a week prior to our scheduled vet visit, as I was unsure of his reaction. By the 3rd night I was woken up by a POD CAT! The little guy was purring and demanding pets - I was thrilled and convinced my friend had been switched out with a new kitty, haha, by the weekend (day 5) the car ride was smooth and he was such a good kitty, until he met the vet technician and we were sent home without a check up due to his lack of cooperation. While it did not work for the Vet, for us, it definitely works overall and I’ve just ordered more.

Anxious Cat Improvement

I bought this for my six year old male cat because he gets anxious about wind storms and thunderstorms and any loud noise. After I started giving him this supplement I started to realize how anxious he was during normal everyday things. He's so much more chill about everything. Rain doesn't make him nervous anymore. He's a lot more confident and he plays nicer with his little sister. I'm happy to have found this for him.

Miracle Worker

It's hard to express just how much this supplement helped my 2-year old rescue cat. He's very sweet, but he's painfully shy and anxious, likely due to some trauma

It's hard to express just how much this supplement helped my 2-year old rescue cat. He's very sweet, but he's painfully shy and anxious, likely due to some trauma he experienced as a kitten. I adopted him about 6 weeks ago and he spent the first 5 weeks hiding under the bed 24/7. He wouldn't come out for any reason. He was so afraid to leave his safe space that I had to eventually move his litter box under the bed. I tried everything to make him feel safe and used every calming aid I could think of -- diffusers, chews, oils, etc. Nothing worked. After about 4 weeks I realized he needed more than just my love and patience to get over his fear, so I was about to schedule an appointment with the vet to discuss anti-anxiety medication. Right before I did that though, I came across this product on Chewy. I didn't have high hopes, but I had nothing to lose so I gave it a try. I'm SO HAPPY I did. I mixed the powder into his wet food and he ate it without issue. After about 2 days I noticed changes, most notably he started playing a lot. He was still under the bed, but he was running around and playing with his toys like a little nutter butter. He just seemed so much happier. After about 10 days, he started to explore his room (I caught him on camera)! And a couple of days after that he started coming out when I was in the room. He's now willing to play with me and sit just a few inches away from me. For him, that's huge! He's now well on his way to fully integrating himself in our home, and I don't think that would have been possible without Zylkene. I'd recommend this to anyone with a scared and anxious cat.

Wow first day it worked

I give up one of these every morning at 6 o’clock to one of my cat Archie he had the Sentry Calming collar on but he doesn’t like wearing a collar he would Eat it

I give up one of these every morning at 6 o’clock to one of my cat Archie he had the Sentry Calming collar on but he doesn’t like wearing a collar he would Eat it off immediately , if it was too loose he would just get out of it now the century common colors also work very well he just doesn’t like wearing a collar. Period, and he’s an indoor only kitty ,so that’s not cost-effective ,but it’s kind of a bully so I gave them one of these pills threw the collar away and oh my gosh it started working the first day he and it’s been in 10 days now and he is so our normal cat he’s not mean to my senior lady cat anymore and he is so affectionate he is just the love bug I always knew he could be I don’t know if these pills will work for you but they definitely work for me, you just have to be careful not to give them too much they’re a little tiny capsule so they go down really easy if your cat weighs between 10 and 22 pounds one pill once a day . I think it best to stick to the exact same time every day .

My Joey came to me at 6 months having gone through too many upsets and changes. By the time I got this little fellow not only did he have infestations of fleas and worms, his back legs and tail weren’t right and he’d tremble when trying to simply rest.I tried homeopathy, calming chews-he refused-pheromone diffuser and sprays.Nothing worked until the Zylkene!I gave it to him late evening when settling in for bed and for the first time in the year and 4 months we’ve been together Joey slept peacefully and so did I.Excessive meowing, pacing at night stopped as has his trembling.Outside noises aren’t bothering him as much and he’s as chipper and playful as usual.Even his rough play-biting isn’t happening as often or is as painful; he seems to catch himself as he goes to bite my hand and just stops! Not saying it’ll work for everyone but it does for us so far without any negative effects.
