Best stuff since sliced bread

I have had/have dogs with allergies, that they have lived on Apoquel, running them for Cytopoint shots, but Vet recommended this a year or more ago and I started my worse fur baby (Chi) on this and it helped her so much. Itching stopped, red crusty skin cleared up.. So I bought for bigger , other dogs and keep them on it daily, and no more apoquel, no more cytopoint shots. They seem healthy, hair shiny. I really think this one ads Vit D in theirs and since I have tried so many other Omega liqs and pills, this one works, where the others never did. The one neg - was it made my Chi's eyes run more, cause she developed brown stains. Had never had that prior to putting her on Vetoquinal. But I have 5 of my 6 dogs on it. Have not put my maltese pup on it yet, cause I'm battling her brown stains around her eyes already, and if this stuff makes it worse, I can't deal with it. Even my dogs without any allergies, scratching, I have them on it. My frenchie has been on it, but she continues to lick her toes. So it isn't helping whatever she has going on with that. I think she uses back toes to scratch her face - then sits and licks the toes. Still working on that issue.

I buy 3 sizes of this Omega 3 small, medium and large. I buy this brand due to my own health issues. I started having joint pain so badly that I could not sleep and I was limping. I did not want to go on pharmaceutical drugs so I started doing research on Omega 3 and decided to try them. Well, they did not work. I tried many different ones. Finally I found out why. The reason was they were not in Triglyceride form. So I bought some in Triglyceride form and was amazed. The pain started to go away immediately. Even though you will read varying reports about this, Omega 3 in Triglyceride for is much more absorbable by the human body. There is no doubt about this as I have been taking a Triglyceride form form for a couple of years now and have never had joint pain again. That experience made me wonder about the Omega 3 that I was giving my dogs so I went on the search for a Triglyceride form for them and found it right here at Chewy's. This is what my dogs take now. If you are wondering if your dog really needs Omega 3---yes they do. It not only helps their coat and skin but it helps their joints too. Why? Because dog food and most everything that they eat is unbalanced---too much Omega 6 and not enough Omega 3. Omega 6 is inflammatory---which is needed to help heal wounds and Omega 3 is anti-inflammatory and guess what that means? Too much Inflammation not only causes joint pain but it causes diseases too. I highly recommend this product for that reason.

This is a two part review for both the Chewy vet chat function and this product. My dog has been fixated on biting his feet obsessively and between his toes. Our vet put him on Zyrtec twice a day which definitely helped but it was still happening. I chatted with the Chewy vet and they recommended this product. We tried it desperately for any help and this worked wonderfully. Within a few days the frantic feet biting completely stopped. He’s been on it for just under a month, and he’s maybe done it twice in that time and definitely not to the same degree and prolonged length he would before. Thanks Chewy!

So this stuff is very very good to use for dogs that rash out, have majorly dry skin, and lose hair due to dry or sensitive skin. It's also very heart healthy and joint healthy for a big dog such as my Great Dane Mastiff Mix (Axle). This stuff cleared his skin after 3 days of the recommended dosage. Please keep in mind though, all dogs need fish oil only for skin problems unless advised otherwise by Vet because once their skin heals you want to decrease that dosage. Your dog can become Vitamin E deficiency with too much fish oil. This fortunately contains Vitamin E, but not enough to keep it balanced if you gave your dog the full dose of this everyday without Vet's say. This stuff is amazing and I highly recommend!! I trust this with all my heart as the Vet was who got my dog on this first hand and was more expensive through them for a small bottle versus this! Thanks Chewy! Axle's skin is shiny and clear of rashes!

I have two dogs-one white pit bull mix (who has skin issues of course!) and one white and brindle Bull Terrier mix-the Bull Terrier has had this area near where his sutures from his neuter are that was constantly getting infected and staining his fur in that area brown! We used the Mal-A-Ket wipes, but as soon we would stop using them, it would come right back! The pit bull also likes to lick her belly and it would get red and thickened and just-gross!! I tried a different skin care product that seemed to help with the pit bull, but not the Bull Terrier! They have both been on these Vetoquinol Omega 3s for two weeks now and already I see a dramatic improvement in both of their skin!! The pit bull has stopped licking at her belly, and the Bull Terrier's spot is going away!! I am a very happy dog Mom!!!

Rocco is 15 years old and was having problems jumping up, and going up the stairs, he also had dry skin issues. When my Vet recommended Vetoquinol Omega gel capsules for his dry skin it was like a miracle within one week he stopped licking himself, but..the amazing thing was he jumped up on our laps again, and ran up the stairs..we were amazed !!!! i truly believe his little life became better for this amazing gel cap..I can't be without them..when I had a problem getting his capsules he started having issues of the past could make it up the stairs and stopped jumping up the licking was ok..so we know those pills work. I wish everyone would try these miracle gel caps..its so much more than for dry skin..believe me I tell everyone that asks me what do I give Rocco that he runs like a puppy, and boy I not only tell them but I show them all the bottle..please keep chewy supplied with these awesome caps...

Besides the fact that dogs should be getting Omega 3 in their diets, I can’t emphasize how soft our dog’s coats were. This was prescribed for my dog Champ as he was showing dandruff and the vet recommended this. Even though it was prescribed for Champ, we started giving it to our other dogs. One of the best decisions we’ve made.

The BEST Omega 3 on the market!

At the recommendation of our vet we started using this product with our Golden Retriever 15 years ago and now have used it for 7 & 4 years for our two Labrador Retrievers. This keeps them from having itchy dry skin and keeps their coats very shiny. I think it also has helped keep their joints lubricated, all three are working dogs and their mobility has been great.
