I studied the glucosamine chondroitin supplements for a long time. i have 2 aging large dogs and this was the most comprehensive one I've found.

Years ago, started our other dogs on the original formula of these when they were seniors. What a difference it made for them, you could actually see how it helped ease their movements and they acted younger, less stiffness, helped reduce the signs of aging. All our dogs since then have started, as soon as we adopted them from rescue, at whatever age they were. Really helps the aging process. Nothing can stop it, but it helps slow it down and ease them through it. We now use this advanced formula since it became available. Starting them before there's a problem, you don't "see" the difference but helps delay and lessen aging issues. Definitely a part of their daily diet. Vet IQ works great, had the same active ingredients as the brand from the vet but much more affordable, especially when you have multiple dogs.

We had great results with another brand which we stopped buying because I read something about the company and can't recall what that was. But this brand is comparable and has the recommended amounts of glucosamine and chondroitin for our dogs. Our oldest dog will turn ten in a few days and he had some issues with stiffness and after using a supplement with this same amount of glucosamine and chodroitin we saw a great improvement in about a month. I expect to see the same results with this - since he's been off of the other one for awhile now as I look for a replacement for the one we used to buy. He can maneuver at faster speeds better again and keep up with his younger, smaller and more agile sister. He can run about 45 mph but would stop when it came to running around corners at speed, etc. But once he's on a good supplement he doesn't stop and continues to run full speed around corners etc. They smell great and of course the dogs love them - they love any treat and will eat most anything. The only thing I didn't care for was the bag says Made in the USA and then in small print "using ingredients from around the globe". I wish all of the ingredients were USA sourced or at least list specifically where the ingredients were sourced. I trust ingredients from some countries more than others. I don't know if I would buy them again for that reason but I didn't want to lower my rating much because they may be very effective, we'll see in a couple weeks. I can't say yet whether I would recommend them for sure but for now I'll say yes since I have to pick an answer. I think I can come back and change my rating later.
