This root measures 0.5-4 inches in Nano, 7-18 inches in Medium, and 15-24 inches in Large. Each piece is unique, with no two pieces being alike—so the sizes are approximate and can vary.

could this fit into an 5 gallon tank and also leave some good room for my bettas swim space

The “nano” version of the Underwater Treasures Eucalyptus Root Fish Wood may fit, although it may be a bit tight for multiple bettas.

Both the medium and large sizes give you serious bang for your buck. They are great size/shape and would look stunning in any aquarium. The large size is too big for a 55 gallon, but I think it could make it in a wider 75. The medium size is perfect to double up on in a 55. Make sure to properly soak to remove tannins, this type of wood takes forever to sink. Packaging needs some major improvement: the wood is shipped in a huge empty box, no packaging material (aside from other items in your order) so you will be lucky if it arrives in one piece. Chewy’s return policy is great, so they did send me two additional replacements and then fully refund, but even with notes added to my orders to package carefully, they still arrived empty and broken. My medium sized item arrived safely, but only because the box was appropriately sized so it didn’t have room to slide around. If this could be improved, the item would be 10/10 for me!

Not suitable for Koi pond. Poor packaging.

I ordered 2 of these in the large size because a couple of the reviews stated they would provide a hiding place for koi in a pond. No way would they serve as a place

I ordered 2 of these in the large size because a couple of the reviews stated they would provide a hiding place for koi in a pond. No way would they serve as a place for fish to hide. Also the sharp protuberances would've damaged any net (or fish) that would come in contact with the roots. One of the roots arrived damaged and the sharp edges of roots poked holes in the boxes. There was no packing materials inside the boxes. Both roots could've easily fit in one of the boxes. All in all this order was a mistake.

I received these 2/22/23. They have been soaking in a 5 gallon bucket of water since to release the tannins and saturate so they don't float. Every week the water is dark brown. I have changed the water weekly and think I might be able to put them in my tank soon. The soak time is much longer than one would anticipate but I absolutely love them and they will look amazing once I can get them in the tank. Only negative is how long it has taken to get the buoyancy and tannins out of them.
