Needs Supervised Play

These are a favorite of one of my two cats. She dips them in her water dish occasionally as she does with all her favs., but just be aware that the vibrant colors

These are a favorite of one of my two cats. She dips them in her water dish occasionally as she does with all her favs., but just be aware that the vibrant colors will bleed and stain anything they touch when wet. My other more important criticisms are that the shiny tinsel strands come out easily and are dangerous if your cat swallows them. Also, the size of the oi’m poms are small enough for cats to accidentally choke on. My cat likes to pick them up while she’s on her back and with her open mouth (opens when she’s excited), it’s possible for one to fall in her mouth and go right to the back of mouth and into her throat!

My cats' interest was definitely piqued by these, but the dye (?) on the pom poms immediately stained my hands within just a few minutes of playing with them (the purple ball especially - it took a *lot* of scrubbing with soap and hot water to remove). Not wanting the cats to ingest said dye, I unfortunately ended up throwing these away. As others have stated, the tinsel also is easily pulled from/sheds from the toy and probably is not good for kittens especially, who might inhale it.

Over the years my cats have only played with these type of sparkly balls. They LOVE them! The problem was that you would have to buy an entire bag of assorted cat

Over the years my cats have only played with these type of sparkly balls. They LOVE them! The problem was that you would have to buy an entire bag of assorted cat toys just to get the one sparkly ball. The cost was prohibitive since they were simply not interested in anything other than the lone sparkly ball. I screamed with delight when I saw this 4 pack of only sparkly balls! My cats are so excited and play with these none stop. Occasionally I will have to fish a ball out from under the fridge or stove but it's all good.

Max prefers mouse toys and Sebastian will chase anything, including his tail (at 15 y/o), but only in front of the oven where he can watch himself. Leo, on the other hand, loves to dismember these fuzzy balls, and would get very upset with his brothers, Max and Sebastian, if they tried batting them around. They finally gave up, and Leo dismembered every ball. That child is so violent with fuzzy balls!
