I personally have known several OTTB that have become a lot more hot when given any feed with Molasses in so the fact that this feed has none is a huge plus. I feed about 8 lb of this a day split into two feeds and my OTTB has never looked better. He enjoys his dinner and eats it well.

AFTER RESEARCHING MY HORSE'S "FREE FECAL WATER SYNDROME" ISSUES, THIS FEED SEEMED TO FIT THE BILL TO GET HIS ISSUES UNDER CONTROL. HAS GOOD PRE AND PRO BIOTICS THAT OTHER FEEDS SEEM TO BE MISSING. GOOD FOR HORSES WITH METABOLIC ISSUES. I SLOWLY SWITCHED HIM OVER SO AS NOT TO CHANGE FEEDS TOO QUICKLY. BEEN FEEDING THIS FOR OVER A MONTH WITH GREAT RESULTS!! NO MORE MESS!! HIS SYMPTOMS WITH MESSY BUTT, TAIL, AND LEGS HAVE COMPLETELY CLEARED!! I TRIED 6 DOSES OF THE PROBIOS IN THE SYRINGE BEFORE BUYING THIS FEED WITH NO IMPROVEMENT! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS FEED FOR FREE FECAL WATER SYNDROME!!

Let me clarify this review a little. Will I recommend this horse food itself to a friend? 100000% YES. Buying it from Chewy? Absolutely NOT. This food was a saving grace for my three senior horses. 2 have PSSM and are hard keepers, the other is sensitive to molasses and oats, and this leads all to be very hot headed at times on normal feeds. They have been so level headed and reasonable, no tie-ups, no major weight problems but the expected extra maintenance with the eldest, and even less colic calls with our vets. ***I can’t tell you how much it PAINS ME to have to change from this feed, but I have zero choice because IT HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED IN PRICE PER BAG since I began feeding this 2 years ago!!*** It was around $24.99 a bag when I first started feeding it, I started to grit my teeth when it went to $43 in January and now it has gone up to $53.99?! I have 4 horses in total on this, on autoship, and they increased this price with absolutely no warning FYI. I’m glad we didn’t have to worry about the money, but what if it was someone who did?! Considering the company’s other products are still priced fairly normal I don’t understand this hike. Chewy is the only place I can get this feed because I am completely limited to Purina, Nutrena, and very little availability of Triple Crown locally. Really crappy.

She loves this feed, and being she puts on alot of weight easily, this is the perfect formula for her. She has a very shiny coat too. This is a reputable company we trust, and we highly recommend it. Product fine but delivery wasn’t great
I was getting “out for delivery” emails and alerts every day for three full days before it was delivered. I’d rather have simply waited those days without waiting

Maybe fedex is a reliable courier in some areas but they are unreliable here. They’ve even opened our packages, stolen the contents, and delivered the box empty and resealed, they’re just the worst. So having a different courier option would be great, if that would ever be possible.

Jackson was having watery stool issues from fecal water syndrome (FWS)He had runny poop caked on his backside and down his hind legs as well as on his blanket and tail. I have been using Kalm Ez pellet feed for a couple weeks and Jackson was gradually transitioned to this feed. His FWS has improved significantly and is almost completely gone. I will continue to feed Kalm ex pellets to him.
