I have a super picky stud, and I do mean picky as if he isn't fed a mash for every meal he will toss his feed pan. Lucky for him he is on an all forage diet so all of his meals are soaked. I have been trying to find a simpler way to feed him his supplements as, again, he is so picky that if he even smells the powders/oils (no matter how well they are mixed in) he will flip his feed pan. I was hesitant to get this but just went ahead and pulled the trigger as it was this one or the Purina Omega Balancer. This product is more affordable per pound and I do like how it is lower in sugars so I can feed it to all of my horses without having to get another product. While I did slowly building up to the recommended feeding dose, my picky stud was hesitant when he first got served the full serving but after that first meal he has gobbled it up since. He actually now roots around his soaked hay pellets to pick out this balancer first. So far no more flipped feed pans! Rather happy with it thus far, it hasn't caused any issues for any of mine as of yet and we shall see how it goes for the future but I have a feeling this product is going to remain a staple in my barn. This has helped me cut down all the misc products in my feed room.

My vet recommended a ration balancer for my 33 year old quarterhorse mare whose top line was showing. She's been on this feed for about a year and a half now and I've had tremendous results with this feed. Not only did it help with her topline, it helps maintain her weight, and provides all the other daily nutrients she needs. Highly recommend!

I ordered this for our donkeys. First of all, I contactd Manna Pro. Their equine specialist was able to tell me how much to feed the donkeys since their consumption rate is based on horses, not donkeys. We are very pleased both with the product and the customer support.

I changed to this feed for my mare who I've had for over a year and who just wasn't coming into summer with any bloom. After adding this feed and some other trace minerals she has had a complete BLOOM! Gained weight (with only 1 pound per day), feet looked 10X better, coat glossy, top line restored. It's now part of our daily wellness regiment! I also recently got a very race fit gelding off the track and started him on the same regiment and he's also showing great overall bloom since arriving.

my mare loves her food, i add water and it melts great. she only get a little over 1lb a day but split between 3 meals (my other horse needs 3 meals). i researched a lot to find a food for my mare that was ionophore free (why buy toxic food?) with a low feeding amount. she has been eating this for a few months now and looks "hot to trot"! this food smells great too! My mare was eating a low quality horse food from a local feed store (my other horse has "came" with the food..so i kept him on it and fed it to her too) but the appearance of the food started to change and when i looked into it i found that most horse food does not have "locked" ingredients and what i was seeing is a change with the ingredients... and all my research led me back to tribute essential k. the local feed store or the large chain store did not have this food, and so here i am at chewy and this is the product that brought me to chewy. i love that i have horse feed delivered to my door with autoship. great food, great brand and great chewy.

Ive had my horse on Buckeye Gro n Win, Purina Enrich Plus, & Nutrena Empower Topline Balancer. She gets fat on air so this is great way to give her a meal without added calories, sugars, staches etc that grain has that she does not require. Nothing compares to this one! My horse although not super picky eater LOVES this feed over any others! Vet recommended and a great way to ensure your easy keeper like my girl is getting all they need that hay or grass may be lacking. This balancer smells good and is darker in color and just looks prettier and fresher than the rest. It does contain some cane molasses but most do as its whats needed to keep the feed binded so doesnt crumble apart. My vet and Tribute both said jts such a small amount that will NOT affect anything medically say you have an insulin resistant horse. My girl gives 4 hooves up!! YUMMMMMY

I usually regret clipping my horse in the fall because as a chestnut he turns this pale tan color. This year he’s a rich chocolate and shiny! The only thing Ive changed recently is his feed. As a senior horse I don’t want him over eating to keep weight on so this balancer is perfect.

I’ve fed this to my borderline metabolic mustang mare for over three years, and she has always eaten every pellet. She keeps a great topline and muscle without being too chunky, it’s been wonderful. However, this last bag I purchased, she won’t touch. I thought there must be something wrong with her teeth and actually had the vet out to sedate her and examine her and her mouth (everything was perfect). Then I did an experiment where I fed her alfalfa pellets, to which she ate every piece, and then fed her the ration balancer, which she snubbed. So either my mare had had a severe and sudden shift in taste preference, or something about the formula is different. I’m bummed!
