This was my very first time ordering medication and prevention for my pet Quincy through Chewy and I could not have asked for a better experience. I give it a full 5 stars and a 10 out of 10. The process was simple and stress free. All I had to do was provide my veterinary information and Chewy took care of the rest by contacting them directly for approval on both our heartworm prevention and trazodone. I really appreciated how seamless everything was. To make it even better, our package arrived at our doorstep in just two days which was much faster than I expected. Thank you Chewy for making pet care so convenient and reliable. I will definitely continue using your services for Quincy.

My chocolate lab/pit mix is 7 years old and hates having his bails clipped! I have never been able to clip more than 1 or two at a time and it was always an ordeal!! With the suggestion from friends and my veterinarian, I decided to try something to relax him. I’ve never been too fond of having to give my pets pills, but I thought one more shot. At my vets suggestion, I gave Toby 1.5 pills two hours before attempting to clip his nails (he’s about 85 lbs.) It worked!! I mean he wasn’t throwing his paws out to me enjoying his pedicure, but he didn’t fight me! He was chill!! Now every two weeks I will do this again, to allow his quick to grow out evenly with each cut. I am so thankful for this prescription!! It’s been a life saver!

This stood out as a means to calm

Trazadone alone or with gabapentin as ordered by her veterinarian, has amazing results. This one is given carefully cut in half and timing with exposure to triggers as she is a rescue and suffered trauma as a small puppy. She is the best guard dog and snuggles of all time. However, Trazodone calms her enough to focus on training and reactivity issues she struggles with. We highly recommend and appreciate Chewy!

My dog does not get kenneled when I leave the house. I’ve watched him on camera whine, pace and froth two straight hours. He never settles, sleeps or gets worn out. He is scared of literally everything. Plastic bags, mops, blowing leaves, his own shadow, you name it. Fireworks and lightning are especially nerve shredding, which I know is normal, but still. Vet visits require medication the night before and the morning of, and even then he’s a tiny bit more manageable. He turns into a small pony, bucking and kicking like he’s in a rodeo. He’s two years old and I can count the number of times his nails have been clipped, it takes four of us to hold him and we might get lucky to have five nails cut. It's not the Trazadone my other dog is super chill after a tiny pinch of the medication. I think it is a good medication for dogs that aren't completely insane to start.

My girl, Cissy, was abused in her previous home and then abandoned and managed to stay out for more than six months. She eventually walked home with me and her brother Thor after two months of our working with her every day. She had made lots of progress, but still had significant anxiety issues. Our vet suggested trazodone, and it has reduced her anxiety to the point that she seems much more comfortable in herself.

My Miniature Schnauzer has had what I can only call anger management issues since he was a little puppy. I got him right after COVID--when I was here almost all of the time, and at first I thought it was separation anxiety, but it isn't. First, his predecessor had that, legitimately, and with good reason, and I was able to train him out of it; second, he does it even when he knows I'm here (if I go upstairs or downstairs, or out to get the mail); and third, I've stood and listened: as long as he thinks I'm in the house, he shrieks with indignation, then stops if he thinks I'm gone. I tried getting him a companion--his own niece--of whom he is demonstrably jealous. I've tried leaving him loose in the (gated) kitchen, but when I do, he destroys things selectively--nothing of mine, but he's shredded wee wee pads, torn up toys and his bed, etc. If I put him in the crate, he shrieks all the louder. It's indignation, not fear of abandonment, and I didn't know what else to do, so I asked my vet. He prescribed Trazodone; so far, it seems to be helping, and I'm hoping that he won't need it after the 90-day prescription runs out. I'm working on other issues simultaneously.

I always appreciate the speed, reliability and professionalism you have on the telephone with your customers. I think you guys called to check up on medications and to see if they were OK. At that time I told her that I haveeuthanized Jasper two days after I got the meds your agent was sympathetic and wonderfully so she offered to take the cost of medication‘s of my accountin other words I didn’t have to pay for them because of that I 100% appreciate that from you guys Right now. I’m waiting before I get another dog because I had to put both dogs down within six months of each other I’m devastated but we expect this to happen. I hope they will be replaced with dogs that are as wonderful they were. I’ll be back Chewy you betcha. Thank you!! Leslie

Miracle Drug for my Black Lab

We came across trazodone for my dog, "accidentally"...after she ended up at the emergency vet for a tear she received during daycare...they prescribed her trazodone as she is a 65 pound CRAZY ENERGETIC 2 year old black lab...seriously, her energy can be off the charts! If we're awake, she thinks it's playtime. all.day.long... Anyways, they gave it to me to keep her calm as to not disturb the stitches as she wasn't allowed to jump or play or run for 2 weeks!!! I've actually taken Trazodone before for myself, for sleep issues and always loved it when I took it. We've had our pup, Olive, for about 8 months now and since coming to be with us, her energy, sometimes, can be a lot to handle... We also have a 6 year old lab who is not as energetic (although he has his moments!) They do love to play together, but he'd rather lay on the couch all day until it's time to go to the park. I do work from home and she would sit here barking at me while I am working, hindering my work, making me frustrated and angry. :( (c'mon I'm human!) I want to play with her, but I just can't because - I'm working. I try to take her to the dog park, daily, to release her energy, but that's usually not until after I get off work...otherwise I try to take her on a walk in the mornings...but that's just not enough for her. So when trazodone came into our lives...seriously. This stuff is a god-send. I asked our vet about keeping her on this, daily, to help with her anxiety and barking ... and she immediately agreed that it would be a great idea and safe to do! I will add, we HAVE put her through obedience training, which has helped, but obedience training isn't BEHAVIORAL training...(which we are looking into) And I also take her to day care on Fridays so that she can have all day to play with other dogs... So the pill is 5mg per kg of weight which for her ends up being 136 mg per dose... I have quickly learned she doesn't even need that much! I give her 1 - 50mg pill daily (more like 4 out of 7 days/week) and she is so much calmer and happy during the day while I work! I'm so happy that I can get it easily through Chewy!

My little Dixie gets so freaked out during thunder storms and we've had our share this summer. So these pills (I give her half) really calm her down. As soon as she senses or hears the rumble, she comes to me with "that look". I ask her if she needs a pill and she goes right to my medicine chest where I keep them. Then she runs to the kitchen to wait for her little ball of cream cheese with the pill in it. She's so smart she just amazes me. Glad I have Chewy to rely on...the service is excellent
