Jazzie Lu had an AWFUL reaction to this medication~!! I was up all night with her with diarrhea..... her breathing was NOt good.... she was a total zombie with the prescribed 1/2 tablet~! I have ordered this medication in the past from my vet and she NEVER had a reaction like this... is this a different manufacturer~??? I was scared to death that she wasn't going to make it through the night~! I am hoping there is nothing wrong with these meds.... I DO NOT WANT THEM~!! Please send me a return label...thank you~!

I think it did exactly what I hoped it would do and that is to calm Daisy down when riding in the car. Although the prescribed dose would have been way more than necessary. 1 to 2 tablets 1.5 hours before leaving wasn’t what she needed. I gave her 1/2 tablet 30 minutes before leaving and that was good timing and the 1/2 tablet was almost more of a dose than she needed. Next time for a short local drive I’ll try a quarter of a tablet.

Trazadone alone or with gabapentin as ordered by her veterinarian, has amazing results. This one is given carefully cut in half and timing with exposure to triggers as she is a rescue and suffered trauma as a small puppy. She is the best guard dog and snuggles of all time. However, Trazodone calms her enough to focus on training and reactivity issues she struggles with. We highly recommend and appreciate Chewy!

I believe this is the generic version of the medication I requested but it would be nice if it would notify you that the medication may appear different.

Insane dog to....

My dog does not get kenneled when I leave the house. I’ve watched him on camera whine, pace and froth two straight hours. He never settles, sleeps or gets worn out. He is scared of literally everything. Plastic bags, mops, blowing leaves, his own shadow, you name it. Fireworks and lightning are especially nerve shredding, which I know is normal, but still. Vet visits require medication the night before and the morning of, and even then he’s a tiny bit more manageable. He turns into a small pony, bucking and kicking like he’s in a rodeo. He’s two years old and I can count the number of times his nails have been clipped, it takes four of us to hold him and we might get lucky to have five nails cut. It's not the Trazadone my other dog is super chill after a tiny pinch of the medication. I think it is a good medication for dogs that aren't completely insane to start.

We accidentally left our dog’s Trazadone in Chicago when we drove to Virginia for the holidays and we really needed it for the drive back, as she gets very anxious during long car rides. I was able to order it, get vet approval and get it just in time for our trek home, which made the journey a million times better for her and us. So grateful to have the option to do this and for the speedy service, even during the week of Christmas!
