The Travel Can Donut is made of claw-resistant felt. I don't think it's wool or cotton, because it's a structured, sturdy felt.

The closest to playing in it was Boots sitting in the center. It's hard as a rock if were softer maybe. Not sure if you would call my cats seniors at 12 years of age or not, but they are set in their ways.
