Totally Ferret Active, Show & Pet Turkey Venison Lamb High Protein Dry Ferret Food, 4-lb bag

I had been feeding my four ferrets oxbow and a long time as it’s so highly recommended. I was unhappy with the inconsistency and occasional rancid bags. My fuzzies could always tell when we opened a new bag and would be funny about eating in and have the runs for a few days. I’d been looking for an alternative and was recommended this brand by a lovely lady at the vet with her ferret. Since switching to Totally ferret a few weeks ago, they are all loving their grubbies and have lovely soft fur and happy tummies. They’ve also been much more energetic. I grind up the kibble so I haven’t had the problem others have mentioned about it getting stuck in their mouths.

I order this food because of ingredients and the different flavor. The kibble is great mixed with warm water for elderly ferrets and sick ferrets if you have a hard time getting them to eat. Ok, so I have to mention the poops. Since I started feeding this food to my ferrets, the poops have not been most or runny. Not very smelly either. I had one piece of kibble get stuck on the top of the ferrets mouth because of the shape but other than that. We love the product. The ferrets fur looks great since starting them on this food. It has helped a lot and I will continue to purchase this food.

I have a ferret that we think might be allergic to chicken and this is the only food that I’ve found without it and they all love it and our itchy little girl is doing much better on this food.

Twice I have had to pull food from the roof of my ferrets mouth, first with my small girl and a second time with my elder sick ferret. The food is a terrible shape that gets stuck in the roof of their mouth. This is absolutely horrendous, I don’t recommend for free feeding. I needed a better food formula with less poultry because of allergies and now I have to find another food. This food needs a shape change.
