I love this mix added to my rat's diet along with the rest of my homemade mix. I just wish it didn't have corn, as that is not good for rats. Luckily I have enough variety to prevent them from eating too much corn but I still wish brands wouldn't put harmful ingredients into our pet's food. PS- I knew this had corn before ordering, but maybe the brand will read reviews and maybe not include it someday. I still think the variety is good!

Corn dried in the UK is safe

For people talking about corn and microfungi and bacteria in it. This is what I found online. In America, dried corn is unsafe for rats due to the drying process

In the UK, however, corn is dried differently and is actually totally safe for rats to eat. This food was made in the UK so it should be safe. Also i feed this as part of my rat’s mix, not just solely this food.

So I bought this for my four rats. I got it as a add in to their normal food. I started to noticed that they were not eating their food. Then last week Mr. Crooked

Not good for rats

I got this for my rats and it has two ingredients that are very harmful to rats such as alfalfa and dried corn. As this is in the rat food mix I do not recommend

Mainly corn and not tasty pellets

I got this for for my mice to try after using strictly Oxbow pellets. My girls are older, so I wanted to try to give them a food with various items in the mix as

I got this for for my mice to try after using strictly Oxbow pellets. My girls are older, so I wanted to try to give them a food with various items in the mix as a treat in their golden months. My girls hate it overall. They eat the small seeds and grains, but refuse to touch the fortified pellets (which make up half the bag). The flaked and dried corn is a turn off too. It's a known carcinogen in rodents, so it shouldn't be in their food at all. It's a shame since this would've been a perfect and balanced food/treat mix if the pellets were more palatable and there was no corn. Gonna go back to Oxbow after this bag is done.

I don't like to feed whole corn to my rats and this had 1 1/2 cups of whole corn in it plus another cup of pressed corn, but I guess if u feed corn to your critters

I love this brand, they're the only ones that i have food of mix foods that doesn't add dried corn (its really bad for small animals, it holds a lot of bacteria)!
