A perfectly balanced meal in liquid form
We have 3 kitties from different backgrounds - a Ragdoll who survived FIP, a rescue, and a feral kitty who is learning to be a house cat. All of them LOVE this food,
We have 3 kitties from different backgrounds - a Ragdoll who survived FIP, a rescue, and a feral kitty who is learning to be a house cat. All of them LOVE this food, although it is most beneficial for our picky FIP girl who needs the extra calories and important nutrients. This formula has a very smooth texture that my girls love, and serves as a complete and balanced meal anytime of the day. This food is perfect for kitties with special needs - like our kitty that needed to be syringe fed during her FIP sickness. It's packed with protein and gives your cat the extra moisture they need in their daily diets. As always, Tiki Cat doesn't disappoint!

This is by far the best item I have ever purchased for my geriatric hard to feed CKD kitty. My cat has always been a very picky eater. She has mostly eaten raw food her whole entire life so moving her onto something else has been hard in her twilight days. Since being diagnosed with CKD she needs fast calories that are easy to consume. This product has been the best thing I ever found. It is super thin like soup soI can squeeze it into her mouth when she doesn’t feel like eating. I can squeeze the pouch and she’ll lick it from the top like a churu treat. I can add it as a topper to make food smell more enticing. best of all they can be resealed so they are great for travel which I do a lot of with her. I have kept these in my fridge for up to 10 days without incident. And my cat is a very picky eater and will not eat anything that smells slightly off, so although the package says that it needs to be used in a few days once opened, I found them to have a longer shelf life in the fridge once opened.

Liquid meal replacement that smells like wet cat food. The house cats wouldn't taste it but keep in mind they are well feed. A sick cat needing nourishment might feed totally different. I tried with two of the tom cats and one smelled it and jumped up and ran before I could even get a picture. The other one who is kind of like Mikey and likes everything, went right to town on it. I'd say it's hard to judge with healthy cats, but hey, Mikey likes it!

I knew I had to get some food into her somehow and when I came across this stuff, which has full nutrition in liquid form, I immediately bought some and started delivering it via an oral syringe several times a day. Her ribs were starting poke through and I really think this stuff gave her a fighting chance. We're still having ups and downs (we're up at the moment, and she's eating plenty on her own and is doing great behaviorally too, which I'm thankful for), but I shudder to think what would have happened if I didn't have this stuff as an option.

I have tried to rehydrate it with water, bone broth, and mix in different wet foods but she won't eat it. Surprisingly she ate this right up! I'm so happy to find a food she enjoys with good ingredients. The product was also larger than expected and the screw cap makes it convenient to save the leftovers!

My sweet kitty lost an enormous amount of weight due to CKD. She had stopped eating everything and anything, so I was desperate and took a chance on this liquid food. I was able to get her to start eating again using this. I introduced little bits of it at first, and she licked it all up. I was shocked and relieved. I continued giving her this mixed with water, and she slowly started eating her other wet foods also, and gained weight. I've saved the remaining pouches for any further anorexic emergencies. Of course, I would like it to have a little less phosphorus, though my kitties' phosphorus level is normal, so I didn't care; I just cared that she liked it. It has saved her.

we have a rescue who is 4lbs underweight and in desperate need of calorie-dense food with a texture he will consume. velvet mousse works a bit, but this, this gets him excited. unfortunately it also causes him to have explosive diarrhea (and after only about 1/4 of the pouch). we will continue to use the product, but only in small amounts added to other food. I am pleased it comes in a squeezable, resealable pouch (I freaking hate standard pouches...they make such a mess and one never is able to get out all the product). I hope each package will last long enough to use with just a couple of spoonfuls a day...bc it's quite pricey (therefore the "liquid gold" in the title).

I mix the Tiki cats liquid replacement with the Tiki cat silver variety pack wet pate with broth. Thank goodness he is eating with out the use of drugs(appetite stimulants) Which was suggested, but I refused! Hopefully he will gain some weight over the next few months. I blended and pureed/liquefied so many different combinations of foods,brands, and flavors over the past 4 months I was about to lose my mind.

Sometimes when she was eating her other food well, I would give her a third of a pouch at a time as a bit of extra treat (storing it in the fridge until the next serving). When we said goodbye to Novella in early January, the left overs I had went to a friend who has an older cat, and he took to it very well. It seems like this really is a solution for older cats who need extra moisture without the difficulty of chunks. It is expensive, but I found it to be worth every penny in my girl's last days.
