My cat was recently diagnosed with mammary cancer and early stage of CKD.i needed to find the right food tbat would give her sufficient protein for her cancer but not be too high in phosphorus for her kidney disease. My girl has always been a picky eater and when I found out they came out with the pate version of silver, I decided why not give it a shot. She absolutely loves it, as soon as I open the can she comes running and it makes me happy. Of course, always talk with your veterinarian but this is what has been working out for my little senior.

I decided to try food formulated for older cats for those meals and Tiki Silver is what I ended up with. He LOVES them. The kind we tried first was a mix of pate and slivers of meat, but after a week or so he started spitting out the slivers after sucking them dry, so we’re using this pate-only kind now. He’s gained a little weight and seems a bit more alert and energetic, so we’ll be buying more and trying the kibble, too. I can only hope it’s good for his kidneys and such, but there’s no denying how much joy it brings him at mealtimes.
