Tiki Cat After Dark Variety Pack Grain-Free Shredded Wet Cat Food, 3-oz can, case of 12

I've tried a lot of different wet food brands and types for my cats, and this variety pack from TikiCat is a new favorite! The food is clearly made from real meat. You can actually see the meat pieces, which is different from the usual pate that they eat. This food is labeled "shredded", but the texture is more of a finely ground or minced meat in a thick gravy. That didn't bother my cats at all, but just wanted to point out that it's a little different than expected. The high moisture content is a huge plus, especially since it's hard to get my kitties to drink water. While a couple of the flavors weren't quite as exciting for them as others, there wasn't a single one they outright refused. Overall, this variety pack is a solid win and a great way to keep their meals interesting. I'll definitely be repurchasing.

I’ve been buying Tiki Cat because of the quality of the food (looks like chicken, smells like chicken) but my cats don’t seem to like how hard and tough the thin shreds are. I bought this variety pack thinking it was new flavors of the same style and I was surprised when I opened the can and found more liquid and softer shreds and chunks. While it was very pink, this was exactly what I was looking for. I was thrilled when the cats gobbled it up without me fussing with the food like adding warm water and smashing the dark meat chunks in the After Dark line. I immediately ordered two cases of the chicken/quail/chicken liver and the turkey/turkey liver flavors. I’d only gotten that far into the variety pack so I can’t speak to the other flavors though I’m not too keen on feeding them beef so those may get donated. Highly recommend if your cats aren’t big fans of the regular Tiki Cat shred style.

I used to be a massive fan of Tiki Cat’s After Dark line - but not anymore since the Purina acquisition. This was my first time feeding my cats with this product since all the changes. The ingredients are lower quality now, it contains fillers and thickeners that it did not used to have, it visibly looks different, and the kitties don’t go crazy for it like they used to. I’m very disappointed to see the quality of this product go way down while maintaining such a premium price. My honest suggestion would be to opt for a different brand of cat food.

I saw a review before my purchase about the dented tiki cat cans but my new cat likes tiki and I want to buy from Chewy. Some of the cans in all 3 of the cases I bought were dented. There was no paper, filler or anything in the package to prevent damage during shipping. I don’t know if the dented cans come from the manufacturer or not. I read that dented cans aren’t safe for consumption..
