Light weight litter has come far.. I really wanted it to work, the regular stuff is killing me with 7 cats, and the trash men are not happy with us lol But im so happy with this litter, it exceeded my expectations. The only thing driving me mad is the tracking. Its so light it just fly everywhere and with 3, 5 month old kittens, its everywhere. Picture is cheddar smiling because his litter smells so good all the time :) lol

I've been ordering this for years. The last few times I've noticed it's extremely "poofy" with dust when I scoop or add more litter. It was to the point that I started searching new "lightweight clumping dust free" litter, and when my own kind came up, I was surprised and had to go look at my litter containers. Yep, they said 99.9% dust free. I hold my breath when I scoop the litter or pour more in.

WOW! I have 3 cats and this stuff is GREAT for clumping almost instantly and doesn't break apart when scooping. However, it tracks all over the place! Unfortunately I have a long haired cat that will urinate on any rug, mat or blanket on the floor so I can't use a litter tracker reducer. She was born with two dislocated hips, slightly cross eyed, and has short legs (maybe munchkin mix?). She was a feral when a client brought her in to our vet clinic so we know nothing of her background. She is 13 years old now and still has depth perception issues and those hips and legs make it difficult for her to climb into a high sided litter box so we work around her issues. To me, the hard clumping and easy scooping was more a priority than sweeping up litter on the floor since she mainly stays in the bedroom and hardly ever ventures out.

So many are complaining about the box condition, then order the jugs. I just care about the quality of the litter (smell and clumping mostly). I have 4 cats and no smell in my home. I bought high sides litter boxes so that there wouldn't be a mess on my floors. The clumping is absolutely wonderful. Sometimes you can mix the litter with another unscented clay litter if the scent is bothering you. My mother in law comes to sleep over at our house and no complaints of stinky litter box. I bought a cat genie xL and it made cleanups a breeze. You must scoop litter boxes at least 2x a day especially if you have multiple cats. If you don't they will go elsewhere. Cats doo not like to step in its own feces - its like a human not wiping after using a restroom. I've had many years of experience you definitely need to scoop the poop often.

I have been getting this litter for a few years but recently Tidy Cat changed something in the formula. I was hoping it would be a one-off situation but it does

I have been getting this litter for a few years but recently Tidy Cat changed something in the formula. I was hoping it would be a one-off situation but it does not appear to be. The new litter is darker and has more scent. It doesn't really clump but makes a cement like muddy mess in the box. It's more like the cheapest litter one could buy but with styrofoam pebbles to make it lighter. It takes forever to scrape the lumps out of the box and away from the sides. It's so sticky the cats don't even bother to cover anymore. If i didn't use liners I would have to wash the box every other day because you can't get the litter out. It sticks to everything. It also leaves the box smelly. I used to love this litter because it would clump nicely and was easy to scoop but now I could just as easily buy the $10 litter where I know I can't expect clumps or odor control. I have to replace the litter every two weeks instead of every three or four weeks.

I really do not understand what all of the fuss is about with the new packaging of the lightweight TidyCat Cat Litter! #1 No more of the previous plastic buckets in our landfills and oceans. #2 Easily Stackable #3 Still Lightweight #4 Easy to Open #5 Nice Wide flip-top lid or can be removed altogether and sits on top. #6Biodegradeable #7 can use the sturdy partially pulled tabs for a handle. #8 You don't even NEED a handle because the box is so lightweight to easily pick up. Great Job Tidy Cat! My suggestion would be to add a handle made out of the pull tabs to suffice some of the negative feedback.

The best of all litters. Trust me I've tried them all. I even bought this very product at Sam's Club to save even more money. But, to my surprise it had the same name but it wasn't the same litter. It amazes me that Sam's Club is allowed to bait and switch. Trust me when we had purchased the very same product at a grocery store and at Chewy, it's not the same product. My point is, buy from Chewy at a reasonable price. Trustworthy Chewy, that you get the REAL product. Lesson learned. The litter is by far the BEST we have ever used. We've got 13 cats, 13 litter boxes. Thank you Chewy.

We have 7 Kitties with the ages varying from one year old through 12 years old and they all take to the litter greatly! It clumps into scoop-able waste that is easy to clean after. It doesn't stick to their feet and scatter everywhere like other litters we've tried. Thank goodness! We really enjoy this style of litter, it's a favorite in this household! And thanks to Chewy's amazing customer service and great prices, we get several tubs of this shipped to our house every month with our autoship order! 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!!

Not happy with new packaging

I have 4 cats. I’ve been getting the light weight cat litter ever since it came out. I have carpal & ulnar nerve issues and this litter made it possible for me

I have 4 cats. I’ve been getting the light weight cat litter ever since it came out. I have carpal & ulnar nerve issues and this litter made it possible for me to clean the box regularly myself. I usually bought the plastic pail from local retailers and then I started ordering through Chewy. While ordering through Chewy they switched it over to a box which I was fine with cause I could still tear it open and pour it out. Now they added a bag that makes it impossible for me to pour it out. I’m not happy with the added bag. Please make the other options available to order. 3 stars- I like the litter but really can’t stand the packaging.
