very happy except for one issue. My cat has always backed up against the sides of a high box to pee, BUT pees on this low rim about once a day, so it runs outside. I’ve turned the box, no help. The larger and hooded boxes have the same low entry, so they wouldn’t help. I’m stumped.

Answer by AdamCSep 07, 2025
you get a high sided on all sides box and have a little folding step stool next to the litter box they use to climb in and out?

Can I return this if my cats do not like it?

Answer by CatGirl352Aug 31, 2025
Yes, Purina offers 100% money back guarantee.

Are there returns with this item?

I like the idea of this but I need to use my own high sided box for my little ones. One makes it her mission to see how far up side she can pee. I have a little foot stool for them to get in and out. What can be used as an alternative to the center piece for the urin to drop down on to the pad?

I have 3 shelter cats. One has always hated using a litter box another cat has used. Another is huge and stands to pee. He’s the one in the photos. He’s not just long. He’s big framed (see his paw). Most big breed cats are built like a basketball player. Mine is built like a linebacker, and he’s a healthy 20 pounds ( he’s been as much as 25 so we worked to get him to 20). He has a big chest a d wears a large dog harnes. Turning around in a skimpy box is really awkward for him. So he often used the bathtub or the floor. Also, he peed over the side of “extra large” boxes as their maximum height is 10 inches. We searched for a big enough box or storage tub, etc. that would work for all of his seven years since he pooped into the tile of our litter box when he was just five months old. You can see it in the photo how big he was for that box which was supposed to fit adult cats. Most recently we’ve been using a 25 inch long metal pan sitting on large pee pads. That was actually our best solution until I found this box. I’ve been thinking about trying the breeze system, but couldn’t find a box big enough I saw this one in person, and thought it might finally be our solution. We own two houses with a total of five bathrooms, and unfortunately, this box only fits in one of the bathrooms. So I set it up and was still in the room when my first cat came in took one look got in the box used it walked out. She didn’t even consider whether she liked the litter or not.. that evening. I noticed my second oldest cat lying in the doorway of that bathroom.. this cat is extremely particular about litter boxes being clean. From the time he was six weeks old when we got him, he has objected to using a box and another cat has already used and he will go in and cover other cats poop with anything he can find and then he comes to get me.. so I knew why he was lying in the doorway he had something he wanted to show me. We’ve been through this countless times. But this time what he wanted to show me was this miracle box he had found. Loudly purring he rolled around on the floor, rubbing against my legs and meowing at me.. I asked him if he liked the box and he got up and ran over and used it right in front of me. Then he came back and meowed at me again before leaving.. The next morning, I found all three had left poop in the box. Neither of our other boxes had been used at all, and they are the ones in the bathroom my cats have always preferred. In that bathroom, I keep one with pine litter and one that is empty because my big guy likes a box with no litter in it.. That afternoon, my giant cat came in and use the box in front of me. This is really odd. None of my cats previously ever wanted me to see them. Use the litter box.. why they’ve all three changed their attitude about that I have no idea, but it suggests they feel safer in this one. My big guy had no trouble at all moving around in this box and getting comfortable. Like my other two he took to the box instantly. I will say that my cats do easily adjust to any type of litter we use. Your mileage may vary.. It’s now been three days. None of my cats have touched the boxes downstairs. Since they spend most of their time downstairs, they’re getting more exercise because they’re bothering to go upstairs to use this box. So we have three cats using one box. I’m changing the pee pad once a day and it’s well saturated when I do partly because my little girl is diabetic so she pees a lot. The height of the box is perfect. There hasn’t been a drop of urine outside the box. I’m considering getting the smaller version for downstairs because the bigger one just won’t fit, but if things continue as they are, I may take the other boxes out entirely and just have the one box upstairs. Imagine having three cats and only needing one box! So far only three pellets have been kicked out of the box. The smell of the pee pads as they fill up is pretty strong, so I’m trying to think of things to improve that. I have researched zeolite pellets and learned that the type that are used neutralize acids, which makes them a healthy choice of litter. I have heard that the pellets can be washed in salt water, which kills bacteria, so I may try that rather than adding to landfill. It’s easy enough to wash that small 3 1/2 pound bag. Worth of pellets and let them dry the sun. I

My cats would pee in this, however, they would not poop in it. I tried for a week, and they continued to only use the other clumping litter litterbox for poop. Despite the two cats using it for pee, and the pee pad being full at the end of the week, it didn't smell like urine like it often would with clumping or crystal litter. However, my cats attempted to eat the pellets multiple times (even after using it to pee on) and also found the small, hard and cylinder shaped pellets fun to play with, so they would play in the litterbox or take the pellets out of it to play with. My best guess as to why they would not poop in it would be that they don't think there's enough litter in the box for it. The XL states to use two bags and it comes with two bags, however it fills the box very little. Looking at the pictures, the regular one seems to fill up more and be more difficult to remove pellets from with paws, so I will try that next

5 cats!

I was talking to a friend at work one day about our cats. I have 5 cats & 5 litter boxes. I clean them daily because I cannot stand the smell if I let it go for even an extra day or 2. But if I do happen to miss a day, one of my little divas will pee on the dog’s bed, or the rug out of spite. So she started telling me about this litter box she had gotten for her kitty. I couldn’t believe what she was telling me. It sounded amazing! So I had to look it up right then and there. On our way home from work, I was telling my husband about it and showed him what I found here on Chewy. He was excited about the idea, but thought that we should just buy 1 and see how they do with it. So we bought the X-Large because one of our cats is half Mainecoon (ie: BIG fluffy baby). We have had it less than a month and it has been better than I could have imagined. All of our cats use it, my diva no longer makes messes out of spite, the other litter boxes are barely used, and there is NO SMELL!! Even when they poop, you don’t smell it at all. I still can’t figure out how that one is possible. LOL I change the pad every other day with the regular ones, and every 3-4 days with the multi cat pads. This product is unreal! It is so incredibly easy to clean. I highly suggest getting one. I have already told many other people about it and we’re planning on getting 2 of the original size ones to take the place of all the rest of our litter boxes.

Absolutely outstanding product!!! An amazing litter system consist of pellets. The box itself has little holes in the bottom to let any liquids pass, then go onto a pad in a drawer in the bottom of the box no urine smell very easy to clean, depending on how many cats you have is when you need to change your pellets, you would scoop out waste like you normally would regular litter box and change the pad when that is full when it’s time to change your pellet system you then just wipe out the box with a safe pet cleaning supply and add new pellets. It’s fantastic no smell no fuss , no litter all over the place. Absolutely wonderful product was recommended by my veterinarian technician it was the best system in her opinion and she is absolutely correct. I love the tidy cat breeze litter system, and it does save money. You’re not buying litter all the time in the pellets are safe for the environment. Fantastic! Absolutely recommend this product thank you, Nichole S

Life Changing Litter Box!

We have tried so many different types of litter (clay, pine pellet, tofu, etc.) but none of them worked for us. Our 9 year old calico kitty Juno is polite and dainty and doesn't make a mess. But, our 2 year old tuxedo kitty Jupiter is a menace to society and spends his days making every possible mess he can (official mugshot photo of the criminal is attached). As you can imagine, one of these daily messes was to aggressively kick litter out of the litter boxes so it gets EVERYWHERE. As soon as he would come out of the litter box, he would track litter all over our apartment. We were stepping on litter everywhere we went and it was a nightmare. Then the Breeze system enters our home--and this system is sooo appropriately named. He still manages to make a mess sometimes when he fixates on kicking/digging for a while, but this litter does not track at all so it is easier to contain. I have a bad back, and I will never go back to the days of getting on the ground and putting all my strength into scooping out clumped up litter. The BEST part of this litter is how easy it is to maintain. Changing the pee pad and scooping litter without clumps is so much easier. This system is genius, and it has saved my back, my sanity, my marriage, and the bottom my my feet.

We hadn’t had a cat in 40 yrs. I wasn’t sure about a litter box in the house since I didn’t want any cat oder. So I took a chance and purchased this system. It is FANTASTIC! No one even knows we have a litter box in the house or a cat. My cat is indoor outdoor. So Easy to clean and there is absolutely No oder at all. You just change the pad on the bottom of the box once a week and the litter once a month. No tracking of litter or dust anywhere. So happy we purchased this system! My kitty loves it.

Great for you, but not for kitty.

I bought this litter box system 2 years ago. I was enthralled to get something that FINALLY eliminates litter tracking and dust. As a human, I absolutely love this thing. But unfortunately, my cats do not. Here’s a breakdown of pros and cons. Pros: 1. Zero litter tracking in the house. Occasionally you will find pebbles outside and around, but nothing like traditional litter tracking. 2. No permeating cat litter smell Cons: 1. Since switching to this litter, both of my female cats frequently got UTIs that required medical attention and antibiotics. I believe the pebbles easily harbor bacteria, and when girl kitties squat to pee, they may have direct contact with the pebbles which transfer bacteria to their urethra. Because of these frequent UTIs, this created a major inappropriate urination problem that had never prior existed in their 6 years of life. I’ve lost a couch and many bathroom rugs to the antics, and it’s been a huge battle dealing that problem. 2. My cats will pee in here, but they much prefer regular litter, and have resorted to urinating outside of the box when available. (If a bathroom door gets left open, they go on the rug. If it’s closed, they begrudgingly use this box.) 3. Upkeep is more expensive than traditional litter between the pads and pebbles. 4. As a plastic box, this thing stinks eventually and requires monthly cleaning to remove the caked urine that begins to crust along the grates where it drains to the bottom collection pan. It feels a little icky. 5. Cleaning time is stinky as well as the smell of their feces and urine is completely unmasked. I hold my breath because the stench (especially of the pee pads) is pungent. Overall, it’s been a good run with this thing, and I used to recommend it because it’s AMAZING not having to deal with litter tracking everywhere. Sadly I need to go back to a traditional litter system due to the fact this one is giving my cats UTIs and is discouraging appropriate litter use.

Not perfect but still great

I don’t usually write reviews but after already owning a smaller tidy breeze cat box/litter system and now owning a second cat I was looking to buy a bigger one

I don’t usually write reviews but after already owning a smaller tidy breeze cat box/litter system and now owning a second cat I was looking to buy a bigger one and I found it. I was reading some of the reviews there were some bad. Honestly? Those bad review people shouldn’t own cats. There is no perfect cat box. Poop is poop. If you don’t want to deal with it teach cat poop outside. With that being said my experience with tidy breeze cat box again not perfect but much better than any alternative. The P catcher is great, yes there is poop you have to scoop but it’s much more manageable. Yes there is still a smell it’s poop duh! But again much more manageable. We have been more than pleased with our smaller box it has been accommodating 2 cats, but our one cat which was a kitten and now getting bigger we need more room. We are buying the bigger tidy breeze box. Much easier to manage, the little pellets are much easier to deal with and clean, the P catcher is a big plus, the smell/ammonia from the urine is all but eliminated as long as you keep the P pad changed on a regular basis, the amount of pellets we have to use compared to what we use with any other litter it’s amazing it lasts a long time as long as you manage it. Don’t look for perfection just look for better than what you had and when it comes to some of these other bad reviews I read honestly disregard them because my opinion they shouldn’t own cats because no matter what they have they just don’t want to deal with the poop which is understandable but that’s what you have to do when you have a cat or cats and a cat box. Highly recommended Product for you feline lovers can’t wait to get a bigger box

We have a big furry cat (she's part Maine Coon, 12lbs). We've tried tons of litter options over the years. The biggest problem we've found is that the fur in between her toe beans collects litter. If the litter breaks down even a bit, it WILL track in our house. We've tried solutions that don't break down, but they don't provide odor control. Aside from that, it was hard to find a litter box with high enough walls to protect our house, but still big enough to be comfortable for her. Well, that's all changed now. Our new Breeze XL solves all of these problems. Big box. Doesn't smell. Doesn't track. Our cat loves it, she'a been noticeably more happy since we got it. We have this fear that our house smells like a "cat house" to visitors. Since getting the new litter system, we've asked friends if they can tell a cat lives here. They've all taken an honest whiff and said no. The only downside is that there's only one option for a door entrance. It would be nice if she could enter from one of the shorter sides. Or if the entry way was somehow configurable to be off-centered - that'd give us more options for placing the box in our house. I won't even take off a star for that though, that's splitting hairs. This thing has changed our lives!
