I have 8 cats. How long would each pad last?

Answer by ChewyMay 10, 2019
The longevity of the pad will depend on how often you cats use the bathroom and how many litter boxes you have in your home. 1 pad will last 2 cats 1 week.

I wanted to add a review to answer another review who said these are “expensive” for cats who pee a lot because they are sick. I have three cats, one who is diabetic and used to DESTROY his clay litter box, I mean made mud and it was horrible keeping up with that. This has been a life-changing alternative. Yes they are not cheap, no I have not tried the cheaper alternatives. But I WILL say that with three cats, I change the pads every other day, and they are really full. So, sure, not cheap, but definitely changed the game for my diabetic cat, who I’m happy to spend a few extra bucks on to keep him a little longer, and happy with the decisions I made. 2 tidy cat huge boxes. 3 cats. It works for us!!

LIFE IS EASIER

I switched to the Tidy Cats system last year after years of trying all types of litter, including Crystal, corn, clay, you name it I have tried it. This system has been life changing for me and my parents who bought it for their home as well. Both households have 6 cats. ZERO DUST! MORE SANITARY. No clay litter scattered around the house or finding it In my bed or on the couch, bc it doesn’t get stuck in their paws. They do get outside the box, but big deal, pick it up and throw it back in. It’s minor inconvenience compared to the benefits. MAJOR ODOR CONTROL. If you step on the pellets it’s very painful, so don’t leave it on the floor. I still clean the box with enzyme spray 2x /week, super easy and I change the pads 2x /week. When guests visit, they tell me they are surprised my house doesn’t smell. Bc I pick up poops immediately and change the pads and clean regularly and invested in several air purifiers for the home. Hope this is helpful!

We love the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter system. We have been using it for years. There's no mess leaving the litter box and odours are a thing of the past. The scooper picks up the poop and allows the pebbles to fall through back into the tray. The pee pad is underneath in a drawer, locking the wetness away from your kitty. My kitty tends to pee at the back, my daughter's kitty tends to pee in the front of hers. Either way, we check their boxes once a day, spin the tray around and reinsert so they can potty on the other side, then once both sides are used, we remove the tray and allow the pad to slide off into the trash. I tend to change pads every 2-3 days per kitty. Once a month I wipe the tray with a Lysol wipe just to ensure it's staying clean. I have been away for a week traveling & the pad was full but remained intact for disposal. You can see the litter box in the background of the photo, the tray for the pee pad is in the bottom.

These pads absorb half if not less than what they used to . I can go two days at most , with two cats , and if I miss the tray is filled with urine and the pad is completely soaked. I've been using the Breeze system for a long time, the change is noticeable and extremely frustrating. I used to average every 4-5 days before I needed to change it. Now if I'm a minute past the 48 hour mark , I basically have dismantle the entire litter tray, mop the floor, it's so frustrating. They definitely cut the thickness in half because I had one pad from an older packet left and it was the original thickness . When I compared the new ones they were half the thickness. If you could please pass this on to Tidy Cat that either their Q& A person was asleep at the job, or they're trying to be cheap. Until they rectify this problem I'll be going back to my old litter box with clay litter, which seems like a breeze compared to what we're dealing with now. Very unhappy. & I have no photos to add as my hands are covered in cat pee every time I change it, but if you require one I'll send it in two days .

We use this system for the past 9 years. It's so easy. Just scoop up the daily poop, stir the pellets. Once every 2 weeks I change the potty pad in the 'drawer'. I like using the multi -cat size pads as they last longer. I have 1 cat so less changes. Once every few months I change the litter. Some people actually rinse the pellets for re-use. I also sprinkle litter powder on the potty pad before replacing it. These bigger pellets don't get all the floor like regular sandy litter. If your cat isn't prone to loose stools then this is a fantastic product. If kitty has occasional looseness, this wouldn't be easy to use as the pellets would be all messy and you couldn't clean it up easy.

Best kept secret!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget about messy, nasty litter or a $300 plus cat litter machine, Breeze litter system is the absolute best. If they advertised it, it would put everyone else

Forget about messy, nasty litter or a $300 plus cat litter machine, Breeze litter system is the absolute best. If they advertised it, it would put everyone else out of business, it is that great! I am older and have a chronic health condition, so I can't lug heavy litter bags, and I need to avoid dusty litter. The Breeze litter system has a pan with a tray for the litter on top which serves as a sieve to separate the feces from the urine. The urine goes into an absorbent, replaceable urine pad in the pull-out pan underneath. The litter is both odor absorbing and a natural desiccant that basically dries out the feces. I replace the lightweight litter once a month. I use a dog poop bag to pick out the dried feces and replace the pad every week. Since the litter is pellet size and has no dust, it is easy to sweep up if some gets out of the pan. I use a tape roller, that is made to get lint off of clothes to pick up the few stray pellets. The Breeze litter pan is easy to clean too. There's no stuck on mess, and I can use heavy duty bleach wipes to keep the tray and pan clean. My 3 former cats :( and my current cat all used this system with no problems. The set-up, which includes the litter pan, litter and pads costs $42, and the litter and pads run me $30 a month, which is a dollar a day. All my cat owner friends love it. It is worth considering simply because it solves so many problems. Hope you try it and find it works for your cat too.

After trying the Breeze system, and realizing it is by far the best for my cat, I was offered some pads the same size as the Breeze brand pads. I tried them and was able to tell after just one day that the Breeze pads are far superior. The package suggests changing once a week, I find that after 5 days it's ready for a change and I start to smell the urine. I am impressed that after months of use, none of the pads have ever leaked or torn as I was changing them from the tray, I can tell they are holding a lot of liquid by the look and weight, but no leaks is impressive.

I have one cat with 2 litter boxes. I was using the pads designed for one cat, changing them out once a week. I had a guest tell me they could smell "cat". Gabby has never avoided her litter box. I decided to try the multi-cat strength pads to help with odor. So far, they seem to be working better. Pads cost a little more, but I will never go back to regular cat litter that tracks all over the house. The Tidy Breeze pellet system is the best.

I love this litter box and the convenience of the pee pads. However, the "multi-cat" pads saying that they will last a week is just not true. With two cats, I change their pad every day and a half, and sometimes, if it's closer to two days, there is massive leakage. I understand it's a good thing my cats are peeing so much, but the absorbency is not quite what they think it is.

I’ve tried the Breeze brand as well as a cheaper off-brand cat pad and I’ve decided this is the best product. Superior in liquid and odor absorption. It’s has a satisfying ‘shlorp’ straight into my trash bin and won’t smell, plus it keeps the litter tray dry. My only complaint is that if the pad absorbs too much before I can rotate or remove it altogether, it sometimes gets stuck between the bottom of the litter box and tray liner. But still generates the least mess, has the easiest cleanup and virtually no odor. I’ve swapped between this and the cheaper version a couple times to be sure I was ready to write an experienced review. Hope this helps others trying to decide which to buy.
