Tetrafauna Aquatic Turtle Deluxe Aquarium Kit, 20-gal

The aquarium is made of a high quality plastic, but I love it for that, it’s heavy, and big enough for my little turtle. I purchased an extra filter and a heater, also by tetra, not sure if the heater is working, we’ll see. I updated the bulb for one of 100V for turtles, UV, and raise the platform by 3 inches using plastic dividers from another company. I have some infrared red light bulbs, not the one coming in the kit, that is not marked, but for new turtle parents, I recommend to have some different UV bulbs from different brands and diverse wattages. I will install the second lamp tomorrow with the infrared bulb. The cascade is beautiful, but just in case I added the second filter. Rocks used in my tank setup are sold by chewy, in a bag of 10lbs, and used two of them. I believe my Tuti is happy. I just love the kit, which comes fast from Texas to Miami. I Highly recommend it.

The kit has everything I needed, the turtle absolutely loves it, it looks aesthetic, it occupies almost the same space my 10 gallon tank did. And as expected the turtle quickly lost interest in eating the plants but uses them as a hiding spot, sadly we kinda lost one of the decorations between making space and moving a few things but it was there at the beggining. So, I had a little trouble with the wire for the filter because it doesn't mention anything in any of the papers, boxers or here on the site. But it has two spaces with little indentations for wires in the plastic inner corner of the tank, it can be easily cut with a carboard cutter and it keeps the wire safe from getting pinched by the lid. On top of that the lid has the option for a lock, which I don't particularly need but is pretty cool. Besides the lid fitting safely when closed. The lightbulbs are perfect, the length of the cables is great and the switches are on the perfect place to turn them off easily.

Super easy to setup. Find it truly neat that the big rock is the filter itself. So neat love the sound it makes. The lights worked no issues at first they didn't but silly me forget they had a switch on them , basking site will need to be raised a few inches so you can make the water level perfect, which is between minimum and maximum. I have yet to get my turtle should be here by Tuesday. Will update my review as the time goes on. Perfect for a starter home, some of these reviews are kindly ridiculous. The water will turn cloudy after you introduce a turtle etc dude the bacteria starting to grow which is normal. Then after 2 3 days it should clear away. Other then that truly neat setup and really affordable ^_^.

This is a pretty good starting out Aquarium. It's the perfect size for the one red eared slider that I have. The price was really great especially for all that it included but the one thing I am disappointed in is that the filter doesn't appear to be strong enough to keep the water clean and clear. With the smaller aquarium and filter that I had the water was always clear without any extra drops having to be added. I've had it now for about 3 weeks and have change the water once and replaced the filters to see if maybe the filters were no good and the water is still extremely foggy. I know this is common in reptile tanks but I feel the filter should be a bit stronger.
