Temptations Pate in Gravy Flavor Variety Wet Cat Food, 3.5-oz tray, case of 12

I was thrilled when I saw Temptations was making a wet cat food, so I jumped on it. I bought the Variety Pack to see who liked what. I put the food in upside down and noticed a film like thing on the bottom, no biggie I removed it. It was a big hit, four out of six loved it and I thought my prayers had been answered. Then they stopped cleaning out the bowl. As any cat mom would do, I investigated, when I took what they didn't eat and rubbed it between my fingers I felt small, hard white bone-looking pieces. I opened another one, using my hand held blender, added water then drained it using a fine mesh strainer, you would not believe the amount of these white things. The picture shows a very small amount. There's "a lot" in one pouch. Try it, you'll be amazed at the amount, I was! P.S. I continued buying the Variety Pack, I would take four cans blend them up, straining and I'd put the container in the fridge. It's takes a lot of time and I do have other food they'll eat. I'm done with this food.

Typically, my cats spend a few minutes sniffing out a new product before they even deign to allow it to touch their pallet. However, with this they dove in immediately. They voraciously licked the gravy off the top and then proceeded to tear into the pate. Pate is much softer and moist than any pate I have ever given them. My male cat immediately went to the chicken but it was closest to him. My female cat came in and immediately started eating the seafood. He then tried to seafood and liked them both. I think these would also be great for travel as they come with their own little bowls. The top foil of the bowls are very heavy duty aluminum, much thicker than a standard yogurt cup lid. So, they would be sturdy for travel but very easy to open.
