I have a 12 week Shichi and the kibbles are the perfect size for her tiny 7lb self. I also use it as a training treat or in her food dispensing ball and she loves it. I do too it with a bone broth or pieces of the freeze dried treats (lamb liver) every so often to switch it up and she loves that too. My vet told me about the FDA warning against grain free food but after looking into it it seems the real issue is with the peas, lentils, and chickpeas used to replace the grain. There’s none of that here so I trust it’ll keep my puppy healthy.

I was happy with this food as was my retriever but my vet explained that grain free kibble has now been known to be responsible for heart ailments in dogs. Go figure, 10 years ago we were being told kibble WITH GRAIN was the only kibble to serve our dogs, will you please make up your mind. I will note upon finishing a lengthy transition period of this food my retriever did develop diarrhea and loose stools and since I have changed to her new kibble from Ollie that isn’t an issue although I have started to add a couple of tablespoons to here food which may have also been the reason for her stools becoming firm.

Great nutrient mix, puppy loves it

We have a bully mix puppy who needs high protein. He came home from the shelter on Science Diet but we noticed he had itchy skin and soft poop more often than not. I researched the needs of his breeds and the nutrient mix of many different puppy foods. This is the highest protein, highest Omega fatty acid puppy kibble commercially available. You also don’t have to feed as much since it’s more nutrient dense, so that helps offset the cost. Since fully transitioning his poops have been consistently firm, his coat is ultra shiny, and he is much less itchy. Plus he loves the flavor. We will be sticking with this food through his puppyhood.

I mix with Stella and Chewy puppy patties.

My boy likes this. I mix the raw coated kibble with the Stella and Chewy puppy patties, half and half. I add hot filtered water too. Right now my spoo weighs 9 pounds

My boy likes this. I mix the raw coated kibble with the Stella and Chewy puppy patties, half and half. I add hot filtered water too. Right now my spoo weighs 9 pounds. I give him 1/4 cup dry and 3 patties, 3 times a day. I bake him organic sweet potatoes too. And mix in a big spoonful for a nice consistency. He is doing well. Lots of energy. Growing fast. I think my boy would eat just about any food though. He likes to eat. My last poodle was tiny, picky, and would only eat Stella and Chewy chicken patties and the chicken tiny mixers. No other flavor would do. He lived to be 15.

We have a 5 month old Havanese puppy. She started out exclusively with Stella & Chewy freeze dried Chicken/Salmon puppy patties. I wanted some kibble to use in her snuffle mat, and as a reward during potty training so I started with a small bag of S&C chicken puppy kibble. However, I started reading about the problems with grain free kibble that substitute more peas/lentils in place of grains. Then I discovered this brand new puppy formulation with no pea/legumes and gave it a try. Adeline loves it! We now do 1/2 puppy patties rehydrated and half wild red puppy kibble.

Our pup is so much happier with this!

We started our lab puppy off on one of the "old school" brands recommended by our vet, despite having great experiences with Stella & Chewy for grain & legume-sensitive

We started our lab puppy off on one of the "old school" brands recommended by our vet, despite having great experiences with Stella & Chewy for grain & legume-sensitive pups in the past. After a few months of struggling to get her to finish her food (very unusual for labs lol), we decided to switch to this - and like magic, she gobbles it up! She clearly loves it, and I feel better because I know the ingredients are so much higher quality.

We both love it

These are the tiniest kibble I have ever seen and they are perfect for my little three pound toy poodle! I have to say that it is also the best smelling dog food

These are the tiniest kibble I have ever seen and they are perfect for my little three pound toy poodle! I have to say that it is also the best smelling dog food I have ever experienced as well. I believe because of the raw coating they are more enticing in addition less dry and crumbly as some other kibbles. I do add bone broth as a boost to his kibbles and his appetite is much better overall. I am very happy with my choice to go with Stella & Chewys as our transition kibble and will try others when he is more mature.

Got this for our newly adopted puppy. He is a really fast gobbler so I would've wanted something big enough for him to have to chew up before swallowing. He loves it, but I have a feeling he would love anything put in front of him by the way he eats. Will be transitioning to a Stella and Chewy freeze dried raw as an adult.
