A lot easier to add raw to their diet

I have always wanted to feed frozen raw as it mimics went a dog ate in the wild. I was hesitant for two reasons: the mess/ick factor, and the inconvenience of thawing

I have always wanted to feed frozen raw as it mimics went a dog ate in the wild. I was hesitant for two reasons: the mess/ick factor, and the inconvenience of thawing. This Stella & Chewy’s product made it easy! I’m not feeding 100% frozen raw but I’m adding a cup of these frozen morsels to meal time. I scoop a cup out and let it sit in a bowl for ten minutes and then add to my dog’s meal. It’s easy. No bloody mess. No ick factor. And my dogs eats with no problem. I recommend to anyone curious about frozen raw.

I have 3 mastiffs and have been looking for a way to incorporate more raw into their diets. I was excited to try this product to do just that. It arrived safely frozen, was easy to thaw and even easier to feed. I used it as a topper. Even frozen, they loved it! Even my pickiest eater who rejects 90% of the foods and toppers I’ve tried throughout his life (including other raw options) totally loved this. I loved the lack of mess with the preformed bites, the convenience of the resealable bag, and the fact it was highly palatable without any noticeable odor. The dogs obviously loved it because it was easy to eat and tasted great.

These raw bites are great! First, I love the ingredients list. It’s well balanced and uses a lot of natural sources I can pronounce almost everything- that’s always a good sign. And as if that wasn’t enough, it’s very palatable. I couldn’t have gotten a photo of my pup enjoying it because it was gone in the blink of an eye. He LOVED it. The value is great - if your top priority is raw feeding. For us, it doesn’t fit in the budget (4 cups per day would add up), but we love to use it as a treat or topper. It’s super easy to portion the morsels and thaws in about 20 minutes.

The first thing I noticed about this product was the bag is very busy and it was difficult to find out how to thaw, how to feed, and how much to feed during the transition period. I'm new to feeding raw and would have liked clear instructions. Aside from that, it's a good product. The ingredients are great for dogs. My dog really enjoyed the taste. I introduced it very slowly because it is a very different food than the kibble he was eating. So far no issues, although I'm weary of going all in on anything "raw."

I then however went to check on my 1 year old who will eat anything and she hadn't even touched the bowl with this in it (I had put a few pieces on top of her normal kibble and she hadn't even tried to eat the kibble) I have tried several more times after this thinking maybe it wasn't thawed enough or maybe mixing it in better with their regular food but nope won't touch it. They like the freeze dried toppers and had eaten a sample of the frozen patties prior so I figured they would eat this so ordered the 3 bags thinking I got a good deal with the promotion but now have 3 bags they won't touch and with how the 1yr old is completely avoiding I am afraid to even try giving away.

Still, they refunded me for the entire order. This time, I ordered late Monday and it arrived on Thursday in great shape. Pepper enjoys this food. We’ve had the chicken, lamb, and now the beef. The night before, I thaw just enough for the next day. I add cooked carrots or green beans for variety. I also top with a couple of blueberries or apple.
